IIf you have been grappling with prolonged stress, desperately attempting to regain control of your physical and mental well-being without success, it is crucial to acknowledge that you may require additional assistance.
→ Burnout does not discriminate.
It disregards whether you are a high achiever, a successful leader, a CEO, a manager, or a junior staff member.
Drawing from personal experience with burnout,
I comprehend and have encountered why taking time off or going on a vacation might not suffice.
The reason is simple:
↳ You cannot escape your internal turmoil.
↳ It follows you, regardless of your location.
↳ Ignoring it only intensifies the issue.
And even during a vacation, fully disconnecting can be challenging.
For many:
↳ Switching off thoughts about work is a struggle.
↳ You are mentally and physically drained,
making it difficult to enjoy your time away.
↳ You may still experience frustration, anger,
and overwhelm, unable to shake off persistent thoughts.
And let's face it:
↳ Returning to work often entails confronting the same job, boss, company culture, and problems.
HOWEVER, I still recommend taking a substantial break. It can be helpful.
It may not necessarily assist you in overcoming or uncovering the root causes of your burnout.
↳ However, it does offer a brief window of opportunity.
During that time, if you can utilize it wisely to:
→ disconnect from all distractions,
→ reconnect with your true self,
→ you may find a moment of clarity.
And in that moment, if you can act promptly,
you may discover ways to help yourself
and identify what you need to get back on track.
But here lies the challenge:
↳ Many high achievers and professionals struggle to sustain this level of clarity and energy for an extended period.
Why?
↳ They lack self-awareness and cannot remain in the present moment for a significant duration.
And sadly, upon returning to work,
↳ It's back to autopilot mode and chronic stress all over again.
The familiar cycle of:
↳ Eat, sleep, work, stress, repeat.
Consequently, it is no surprise that many professionals find it challenging to manage chronic stress and burnout independently.
↳ The truth is, support is available.
