Heart Heroes Fiji Heart Heroes Fiji is dedicated to empowering people living with RHD & raising awareness. We SUPPORT, INFORM, EDUCATE and ADVOCATE for ARF and RHD families.

RHD is PREVENTABLE, but it currently affects over 4000 children and young people in Fiji. We are the voice for all impacted by RHD the 2nd leading cause of death amongst young people in Fiji second to drowning.

No one talks about what it means to be a woman or girl living with RHD. The hospital visits. The fear. The responsibility of still being everything to everyone , even on your hardest days.

Today we change that. Today we gather, we share, we heal together. Because these women don’t just survive RHD. They carry their families, their villages, their futures with grace and grit.

A message to all our People living with RHD in Fiji
You may have seen the recent news regarding a shortage of Benza. We want you to know please do not panic.🙏
We understand this may be worrying, Your health and safety remains our top priority, and we are here to support you every step of the way.
If you visit your Health facility and are unable to receive your injection, you are able to visit any other health centre to get your Benza. 📋 Simply bring your injection book along with you and the team there will be able to assist you.
Alternatively, please don't hesitate to reach out to us directly and we will do our very best to help and guide you. You are never alone in this. ❤️

Stay calm, stay safe, and keep up with your regular injections , they are so important in protecting your heart. 💪

What a meaningful day! Thank you to the Ministry of Health & Medical Services -Eastern Division, Wellness Fiji Fiji RHD and Kadavu sub divison for inviting us to be part of the Kadavu outreach and for recognising that there’s a gap in knowledge and support around RHD.
This holistic approach , addressing not just the medical side but also awareness and emotional wellbeing - is how we create real change 💙
We held ARF/RHD awareness sessions and provided counseling to those newly diagnosed. Awareness educates communities on prevention and early signs, while Counseling- supports those newly diagnosed as they process the news, understand their treatment, and learn to live well with RHD.
Addressing the knowledge gap and providing support together creates lasting impact.
Heartfelt, thanks to the team who provided screening for our children.
