💙💧 A heartfelt vinaka vakalevu to the FIJI Water Foundation and the dedicated Fiji Water staff who, through their , selected Heart Heroes Fiji as their community organisation of choice earlier this year.

Your generosity and trust in our mission has directly supported our efforts to raise awareness and take action against Rheumatic Heart Disease (RHD).

Today, as we celebrated World Heart Day 2025, we honoured your contribution by dedicating these funds to shine a light on children living with disabilities who are especially vulnerable to RHD.

From the Heart Heroes Fiji family — thank you for helping us ensure no heartbeat is missed. ❤️

This year was truly special. Together with our amazing partners, we shone a light on an often-overlooked group who are even more vulnerable to Rheumatic Heart Disease — children living with disabilities. Every heartbeat counts, and this year we made sure none were missed. 💓

Today, we handed over a banner made with love and respect for our late Heart Heroes Champion Jone Maikali. A small gesture to honour a life that touched so many. It wasn’t an easy moment,
watching his wife receive it, holding back tears, feeling the weight of the loss but also the love that came with it. This was more than just a banner. It was a symbol of all the memories, the laughs, the strength, and the courage he shared with us. A little contribution from all of us , Heart Heroes Fiji, our youth champions, and the RHD Programme, to say: you were loved, and you will never be forgotten.

Rest well, our brother. 🕊️🫶🏽💔

We’re truly grateful to have been part of the first-ever TF Wives and Mothers Tournament last week, a powerful initiative by the Territorial forces Brigade to celebrate and support the incredible women who stand behind our servicemen-their wives and mothers.

But this wasn’t just a tournament. What made it even more special was having 5 CSOs Diabetes Fiji Fiji Cancer Society Heaven, MSP Sai Prema Foundation Fiji on the ground providing vital health services. It was a strong show of care and commitment, a moment where health was prioritised, early detection encouraged, and a genuine shift towards health-seeking behaviour could be felt.

We’re proud to share a big vinaka vakalevu to the Ministry of Health & Medical Services - Fiji led by Dr. Jack Kora’ai and the National RHD Coordinator Fiji RHD Verenaisi for coming out and providing heart screenings together with Heart Heroes fiji. We were able to screen 148 , and out of that we diagnose 5 new cases, we a offered counselling, and administer first doses of treatment to the our newly diagnosed cases.

Our goal was simple— to educate, empower, and break the fear associated with the unknown. Many fear what they don’t understand, but when we catch this early, there is hope and treatment. It’s when it’s left too late that our hands are tied. We wanted these women to know: you are not alone, and help is here.

Vinaka vakalevu for allowing us to serve not just the tournament, but the wider Levuka community.
