National Food and Nutrition Centre The NFNC is a National Resource Centre for Food and Nutrition. We work in collaboration with public

Government tasked the NFNC with 4 main responsibilities:
• Monitor the food and nutrition situation in the country through field surveys and assessment of the national food supply
• Advise Government (and other stakeholders) on the food and nutrition situation and formulate evidence-based policy and programmes to improve the nutritional status of Fiji people
• Coordinate and review nutrition programmes/projects and the Fiji Plan of Action for Nutrition (FPAN) which aims to combat nutrition-related diseases affecting the population
• Educate the population about adequate diet and nutrition
