🔔APPLICATIONS FOR THE CHILD EDUCATION SUPPORT SCHEME ARE NOW OPEN
FENC Fiji is excited to announce that the Government has approved a grant of $300,000 this year to assist in our vital initiatives aimed at supporting the Child Education Support Scheme (Back-to-School Assistance), establishing learning centres and supporting the community with capacity-building programs for families.
As part of our commitment to community support, we are pleased to inform the public that we have established an office in Labasa, with plans to open another office in the West soon. This initiative will enable us to provide after-hours community support to those in need.
Since 2009, FENC Fiji has successfully assisted more than 39,000 children.
This year we will be providing essential support to students from ECE level to Year 13 with school bags, schoolbooks and stationery.
Applications for the Back-to-school Education Assistance will be accessible through the FENC Fiji page, website: www.fencfiji.org.fj and at any Ministry of Rural and Disaster Management offices throughout Fiji, as well as through the Selfless Fiji website.
To streamline the application process, we have made some modifications, including the removal of the requirement for passport-size photos, to alleviate challenges faced by some parents. The amended form now requires tax identification numbers and birth registration numbers.
Applications will close on November 8, 2025. No further extensions will be granted, as we need to prepare for the purchasing and dispatching of supplies.
All requests must be accompanied by a filled application form, and second-time applicants will need to complete a review form.
To support vulnerable communities further, hard copies of the application forms will be distributed widely.
We encourage families to submit their applications in an orderly manner, ensuring that all necessary documents are attached for a quick turnaround time.
Completed hard copies of applications should be delivered to our FENC Fiji Office at 20 Matuku Street, Samabula, or to local District offices before the deadline. Alternatively, they can be mailed to FENC Fiji, P O Box 2201, Govt Buildings, Suva.
