🏏✨ Cricket for Good – Empowering Adolescent Through Sport & Education ✨🏏

RFHAF was honored to collaborate with UTS: University of Technology Sydney 🇦🇺 and Cricket for Good Fiji Cricket Fiji 🇫🇯 in the Cricket for Good School Holiday Program. The initiative aimed at enriching adolescent health and wellbeing through the power of sports and education 💪📚

Over a 6-day training, RFHAF facilitated interactive sessions for two age groups:
👧🏽👦🏽 10–12-year-olds
👩🏽👨🏽 13–15-year-olds

📌Important topics explored included:
✅ Rights & Responsibilities
✅ Self-Esteem & Confidence (including promoting positive values)
✅ Puberty & Body Changes
✅ Communication & Consent
✅ Personal Safety & Boundaries

These sessions created safe spaces for learning, sharing, and growing to help young participants build life skills, boost self-awareness, and understand their health and rights.

📚✨ Training & Workshops - Strengthening Preparedness Together ✨📚

Team RFHAF participated in a week-long workshop held at Novotel, Lami 🏨, focused on enhancing our capacity to respond effectively during emergencies.

🛡️ The training centered on:
🔹 Emergency Preparedness Plan (EPP) – SURGE
🔹 Minimal Initial Service Package (MISP) for Sexual and Reproductive Health (SRH) during natural disasters or any crisis situation.

This refresher training provided a valuable space for staff to brainstorm, share insights, and strengthen strategies for SRHR service delivery during natural disasters 🌪️🌊. It was a powerful reminder of the importance of readiness and resilience in humanitarian response.

🌍 We're proud to share that our RFHAF Program Manager also extended this training to SIPPA -Solomon Islands Planned Parenthood Association 🇸🇧, and to teams in the Northern Division of Fiji 🇫🇯, ensuring regional capacity-building and knowledge-sharing across borders.

📍SRHR Awareness at FNU Public Health Campus

RFHAF was honored to be invited to the Fiji National University Public Health Campus in Tamavua to raise awareness on Sexual and Reproductive Health and Rights (SRHR)

This session was a fantastic opportunity to engage directly with future public health professionals and foster open conversations around SRHR topics that matter. Our team shared key insights, resources, and services available through RFHAF; empowering students with knowledge and access 🙌

🌟 A special highlight was hearing from our youth volunteers, who are also students at the campus. They shared their personal experiences working with RFHAF, inspiring their peers with stories of advocacy, learning, and community impact 💬

🇦🇺✨ Family Planning Australia Visit ✨🇫🇯

RFHAF hosted a delegate from Family Planning Australia (FPA) as part of their evaluation of the Emergency Contraceptive Pill (ECP) Project 💊

The visit included insightful engagements at our pilot sites, coordinated by their FPA counterpart. Together, they explored the progress and impact of the ECP initiative across 5 pilot sites:

🏥 Valelevu Health Center
🏥 Oxfam Women’s Wellness Clinic
🏥 Nausori Health Center
🏥 RFHAF Clinic

🌟 Special Outreach Engagements 🌟

RFHAF is honored to be part of impactful public outreach initiatives that bring essential SRHR services directly to our communities.

1️⃣ HFC Bank Stadium – Fiji 🇫🇯 vs Tonga 🇹🇴 Game
In partnership with Rainbow Pride Foundation 4 LGBTQ Rights and Equality in Fiji 🏳️‍🌈, RFHAF provided free HIV testing & awareness during the thrilling Fiji vs Tonga match 🏉. We're grateful for the opportunity to connect with the public in such vibrant settings 🙌

2️⃣ Totogo Police Station & ARUKA Night Outreach
Together with ARUKA Fiji & Totogo Police Station 🚓, RFHAF conducted HIV point-of-care testing, health screenings & information sharing for street dwellers during our collaborative night outreach 🌃. A heartfelt thank you to all partners who made this possible.

3️⃣ Nasinu Carnival 🎡 – Valelevu Grounds
RFHAF was proud to join Rainbow Pride Foundation 4 LGBTQ Rights and Equality in Fiji once again at the week-long Nasinu Carnival 🎉. Alongside RPF volunteers, we offered free HIV testing & awareness to carnival-goers, spreading knowledge and care in a festive atmosphere 🎈

🏝️ Central Division Outreach Highlights! 🏝️

The RFHAF Central team is always grateful for the warm invitations extended by our communities.

Over the past few months, we’ve had the privilege of delivering Sexual and Reproductive Health and Rights (SRHR) awareness and services across several locations:

Through these sessions, we’ve engaged with youth, women & their families, and the community sharing vital Sexual Reproductive Health & Rights information, and expanding access to SRHR services. 🩺

🌟 RFHAF West Outreach Spotlight! 🌟

Our incredible RFHAF West Coordinator alongside dedicated RFHAF youth volunteers continue to amplify SRHR services across the Western Division!

📍The team participated in SRHR information giving at Rakiraki town & Nailaga.

🩺 In areas like Nasau Training Center, Vatutu, and Votua Village, they raised awareness and provided HIV Point-of-Care Testing (POCT) ensuring access to essential health services.

♿ Special sessions were also conducted with the Western Disability community, reinforcing our commitment to inclusive outreach and health equity.

🌊 Outer-Island Outreaches! 🌊

RFHAF is honored to extend Sexual and Reproductive Health and Rights (SRHR) services to our maritime communities in Rotuma and Kadavu.

📍 Rotuma Outreach
In partnership with the Ministry of Youth and Sports FIJI, RFHAF participated in the Rotuma Youth Festival delivering SRHR awareness sessions and offering HIV Point-of-Care Testing (POCT). A celebration of youth, health, and community! 🧠🩺🌴

🚢 Kadavu Outreach 1
As part of the Pre-departure Briefing for PALM Scheme Workers, RFHAF joined the Fiji Ministry of Employment, Productivity and Workplace Relations in decentralizing services to Kadavu. We provided vital SRHR education and HIV POCT to workers preparing for overseas employment as well as returning workers. 🌍💼🛡️

In collaboration with the Ministry of Women, Children and Social Protection - Fiji, RFHAF delivered SRHR services during Pinktober, reaching villages across Kadavu. We're grateful for the opportunity to decentralize SRHR services and raise awareness during this important month. 📢

🌟 RFHAF Youth Spotlight! 🌟

We’re proud to highlight the incredible involvement of our youth in several impactful events that champion awareness, advocacy, and leadership! 🙌🏽💬

🗣️ HIV Youth Talanoa Session at The University of the South Pacific
In a safe and empowering space, young people came together to share, learn, and lead conversations around HIV awareness and prevention. Held in August to commemorate International Youth Day, this session amplified youth voices and strengthened their role in shaping healthier communities. 🌍

🛡️ National Scam Awareness Week Symposium
Led by our Youth Officer, RFHAF youth representatives participated in this national event focused on digital safety and financial scams. Youth involvement is a reminder that youths are powerful agents of change. 💻🔐

📦 Condom Replenishment at Fiji National University Campuses
RFHAF youth also stepped up to support sexual health by replenishing condom dispensers across FNU campuses in the Suva-Nausori corridor. This ensures access and awareness go hand in hand. 🏥🎒🙏🏽
