Our Story
The Bordeaux School of Neuroscience is a dedicated training laboratory fully equipped for modern neuroscience research with complementary access to high level core facilities for specialized technical aspects. We also offer all the logistics for the administrative and technical organization of courses. The School offers its services to international teams of neuroscientists for the organization of training activities year-round. It does not have a dedicated training staff, but it provides the infrastructure, the logistics, the administrative as well as technical support, whereas the international training team will plan and coordinate the training activities. There is a diversity of training events for a variety of public, through courses for master or PhD students, summer schools, workshops on specific technical aspects, or demonstrations of new equipment by private parties. The average number of trainees per course is around 20, and all the courses are open to international scientists.
The University of Bordeaux has signed a partnership with FENS and IBRO on July 3rd 2014 for the creation of the "Cajal Advanced Neuroscience Training program". The Bordeaux School of Neuroscience hosts Cajal Advanced Courses.
