She obtained her DEAES in social and educational support, and her CLF professional language qualification in early 2020, followed in 2021 by the honour of gaining the national charter for quality care for personal services. Since starting the business, the needs of our clients have evolved, and therefore the business has evolved as well. My true story of the day!

🚧 TRAPPED at the TOLL – a true motorway mystery 🚧

Today I had a very “interesting” experience at the péage in Moissac…
Pulled up to pay my toll like a good citizen, popped my card into the machine… and it promptly swallowed it whole.
Then, as if to add insult to injury — the barrier closed behind me. I was officially imprisoned in a concrete rectangle of doom. 😳

There I sat for 45 minutes, stuck in my little toll booth prison, while someone was dispatched all the way from Toulouse to free me (and return my hostage card). The lovely lady even said I didn’t have to pay the €6 toll, as a sort of emotional compensation, I assume. 🥲

I have no idea why the machine betrayed me. Was it the heat? Was it my card’s bad attitude? Was I meant to learn something? Probably.

Lesson learned: Always pack snacks in case of tollbooth incarceration.
Or maybe: Sometimes you just have to wait it out and hope someone from Toulouse has your back. 😂

Ever heard a French speaker say “C’est kif-kif” and wondered what it means?

📌 It’s slang for “same thing” or “no difference.”
🟰 Think: same same, it’s all the same to me, or potato, potahto.

👄 Example:
– Tu préfères le thé ou le café ?
– Bof, kif-kif.
(Do you prefer tea or coffee? Meh, same difference.)

👉 Fun fact: It comes from Arabic "kif-kif", meaning exactly the same. A great example of how languages borrow from each other! 🌍💬
