Plantar aponeurosis or plantar fasciitis corresponds to an inflammation of the aponeurosis (or plantar fascia), i.e. the fibrous membrane located on the plantar part of the foot. Aponeurosis can be caused by different factors (type of shoes, weight, weakening of the foot, etc.) and often causes disabling pain since it interferes with daily walking as well as regular physical and sporting activities. When a factor is not identified as the cause, one or two foot reflexology sessions with an adapted protocol allow you to regain mobility and return to walking and physical activity in the long term.

THE FOOT...
THIS UNKNOWN...

One foot has 33 joints and 26 bones...

The spine has 33 joints and 34 bones...

Both structures have 33 joints so why not consider foot movements as important as spine movements?

While you think about it I remind you that we actually have two feet so 66 joints that impact and affect the rest of the body...

And while you think about this further information I also point out that the joints of the spine are linear and work for one vertebrae above the other while in the foot the joints are not linear and a single bone shares joints with other bones such as the third cuneiform that articulates with 6 other bones...

Does this make everything a little bit more complicated or not?

This means that both feet are required to ensure balance in the skeletal muscle system and any difference between the right foot and the left risks impacting the entire kinetic chain...

If, for example, one foot shows a pronation superior to the other, which is absolutely common, how could it reflect on the hip, or the pelvis, or the cervical column or even the temporo-mandibular articulation?

Take a look at several kinetic chains starting from the foot and related dysfunctional symptoms...

It's time to start learning how to evaluate the foot and all the joints that compose it...

Head and Feet Polarity Relationships , chart from
‘Polarity Therapy’ by Dr Randolph Stone. I Love Dr Stone’s charts, they have always been an inspiration.

The functions in the head and brain areas can be influenced thru [through] the negative pole of the feet by stimulation or heavy pressure on specific spots in the feet. The reason is that the feet are the end of the circuit or the negative pole of the embryonic energy currents which built the body.
* The heels correspond to the occiput - the inside to the centre areas and the outside to the sides of the occiput.
* That soft portion of the arch, underneath, has its reflex not only to the abdominal areas and organs but also to the brain areas which govern them. This is the path of the primal energy pattern, from above downward.
* The toes have an influence on the frontal portion of the head and brain.

Exciting news for reflexology and how medical science views the human body! 👣🧠

As part of a medical school research project, thousands of brain scans were taken while participants received foot reflexology.

Neuroscientists were 'blown away' by the results, with the lead investigator saying the brain was 'activated like a Christmas tree'.

What stumped the researchers most was that reflexology activated parts of the brain that have no direct connection to the feet!

Here's a summary of the results from Kevin & Barbara Kunz who shared the findings in a webinar for reflexologists last week:
