Why Is Self-Love So Important?
The way we experience the world around us depends on what is going on in our internal world. That means that self-love directly impacts how we perceive other people in our lives, how we behave, and how we experience everything that happens in our life. The more self-love we have, the better our relationships will be and the less likely we will be to accept anything in our lives that doesn't make us feel fulfilled, worthy or happy.
You get it: Self-care/love is important.
There's one tiny problem: You have no time for it. Your schedule is packed way too tight for long walks and mindfulness, and your to-do list is looooong. Me-time stays on the side and being productive is more important. BUT the two are not mutually exclusive.
Remind yourself that you can be more productive, with a clear mind and a body at ease. Self-care can exist when you integrate small steps.
What helps me:
1) no phone/laptop light minimum 1hour before sleep. Proper sleep is nonnegotiable nr1 in self-care 💛
2) starting day with exercise & meditation, even if it is only 10 min, so i don't need to think about it at the end of the day when i'm tired and: starting the day right makes the difference 🙏🏻
3) getting organized, it can be as calming as it is productive
4) the choices we make about food & drink have a significant impact on our mood, energy levels, and productivity in the short and long term. You need to eat in the end, make sure you eat healthy.
5) surrounding yourself with the right people.
The energy emitted from the people we interact with on a daily basis have a deep impact on our way of thinking, self-esteem and energy levels. Eliminate non-serving relationships and invest in the good ones. Choose with your heart and follow your intuition.
