🤰 Breech Baby in TCM & Clinical Practice
A breech presentation means baby isn’t positioned head-down for birth, increasing the chances of requiring a C-section. Understanding the type of breech helps guide expectations and management:
👶 Types of Breech Presentation:
Frank Breech (Extended): Baby’s legs are straight upward, feet by the ears — the most common type.
Complete Breech (Flexed): Baby sits “cross-legged,” with hips and knees flexed.
Footling Breech: One or both feet present first — more common in premature births.
🌿 Treatment Options:
💼 External Cephalic Version (ECV)

🧘♀️ Chiropractic Care

🌱 Acupuncture & Moxibustion
Safe, gentle, and one of the most effective complementary approaches.
European studies show ~75% success rates, especially when started around 34–36 weeks.
Moxa on BL 67 is the classic treatment to encourage fetal repositioning.
✨ As always, ensure patients are under proper obstetric care before providing treatment.
