The time it takes for the body to adjust to a new weight varies, but generally:
- *2-3 months*: Initial weight loss is often water weight and quick fixes - a divine time to address the subconscious blocks . Making the light place for new to correspond with what you want -,
- *3-6 months*: Body starts adapting to new weight, metabolism adjusts - enjoying the right nourishment supports* your goals -
- *6-12 months*: Body settles into new weight, hunger hormones stabilize- dialoguing with every part of you through your own subconscious, your hormones, may be stuck in outdated responses . Just an example .
1-2 years*: Weight loss becomes more sustainable, body accepts new norm- this can be acheived far far quicker , and in line with where you are right now in your journey onboarding truth & knowledge about foods is far simpler than were lead to believe, it also builds a confident self trust .. the food industry * & diet industry * are highly trained & skilled to keep you hooked in .
However, weight loss ( i never use the word loss*.. take a pause here , say loss, loose , loosing & really tune in to how it makes you feel & the physical feeling , say a sentence to yourself.. the mind is absolutely wired to fight this word. Its complex, but this is the gift and purpose of being human & having that capacity individual factors like genetics, hormones, and lifestyle influence this process.
Why we all respond differently
Excess fluid, or water weight, is typically stored in: Interstitial spaces*: Fluid accumulates between cells, causing swelling or bloating
Blood vessels*: Increased blood volume can contribute to water retention
Lymphatic system*: Fluid buildup can occur if lymphatic drainage is impaired.
Be compassionate & kind to your incredible bodies & self
Common causes of water retention include:
- Hormonal changes - be kind to yourself.. self love goes a long way -
- Salt intake
- Dehydration (paradoxically)
- Medications
- Kidney or heart issues
In obese ( remember the word obese is a word of norms & study , it is not a definition of who you are ..individuals, excess water can account for approximately 10-20% of their total body weight. This translates to:
- 5-10 kg (11-22 lbs) of excess water in mildly obese individuals
- 10-20 kg (22-44 lbs) or more in severely obese individuals. This pausing of sheding is not a visual understanding to the eye …
This excess fluid is often stored in:
Increased blood volume in obese individuals can account for approximately 10-20% above the normal range.
Normal blood volume is roughly 5 liters (5,000 mL) for an average adult. A 10-20% increase would be:
- 500-1,000 mL (0.5-1 liter) excess blood volume
This excess volume can contribute to:
- Increased blood pressure
- Cardiovascular strain
- Fluid retention .
We may not see different scale readings , but always remember.. you have other senses … dont buy in to a limiting belief .. ie its not going to work for me , nothing ever does..
swoop the thought .. how can i support what i want , notice how when you see your mind shift how it feels - ( nutrition for the soul).
A super helpful rule of what i want for me :
Left palm cupped - fibre vegetables - right relaxed freedom fist 👊 proteins ( pure) not because a label tells * u .
Look slowly at a bowl of dough ! Is that the reflection you want ?
You like white rice ? Then eat a little slowly , double slow !
