Lengthening the whole back body to go deep into a forward fold brings us into deeper internal reflection. The outside disappears for a moment and we can feel ourselves from the inside. Opening the space between the vertebrae (if done properly) keeps the spine supple. Opening the backs of the legs, buttocks and lower back allows our pelvis to move freely….while maintaining stability and deep inner strength.

Working on my upper body strength! I find it harder to keep muscle mass as I get older but is so important to feel strong in the body. 💪🏽Doing exercises like this put the whole body weight into the arms and shoulder girdle. Using the wall helps to mindfully focus on glueing the shoulder blades to the upper back, press the arms firmly to the earth evenly so they feel like a strong square of support! Also, I can keep awareness on tightening the trunk to avoid sinking into the lumbar spine and using too much curve for support. And last but not least…not over using the upper traps which always leave me with an achy neck if I’m not totally present 🧘‍♀️It’s a bit awkward to get in and out of but once up, try to stay for as many breaths as possible 🙌🏽Who’s gonna try ❓By the way, it’s harder than it looks …at least for me 🤗

In this program, you will be guided through half primary series over a period of 4 weeks, 2 live classes a week. You will receive the recordings so you can do the practices as many times as you want between live sessions. The concept of these classes is to build a practice layer by layer to find stability in a way that feels inspiring, healing and self-empowering. You will be offered different variations of the poses so you can decide what is best for your body right now, today.
