Chinese Herbal Medicine Chinese Herbal Medicine is one of the great herbal systems of the world, with an unbroken tradition going back to the 3rd century BC. Yet throughout itʼs history it has continually developed in response to changing clinical conditions, and has been sustained by research into every aspect of its use. For details on specific studies that have shown the efficacy of Chinese Herbal Medicine please look at: www.rchm.co.uk I often treat with a combination of Chinese Medicine & Shiatsu however depending on the nature of the problem i may favor one over the other. Shiatsu Shiatsu is a Japanese form of bodywork based, like Acupuncture and Chinese Herbal Medicine, on the classical theories of Chinese Medicine. It addresses a wide range of specific ailments, as well as promoting deep relaxation, enhancing vitality and reducing stress. The session takes place on treatment-couch or on a futon and includes both invigorating techniques as well as gentler and more nourishing work in proportions that vary according to the clientʼs particular constitution and the nature of their complaints. Tai Chi - Qi Gong Tai Chi and Qi Gong are ancient chinese systems of movements/exercises that typically flow gracefully into each other making it appear like a beautiful slow dance. They are commonly practiced outdoors, in nature but can equally be done indoors. The movements are designed to strengthen, invigorate and loosen up the body and at the same time calm and focus the mind. More specifically they work on what is called the Meridians best known from Acupuncture and Acupressure, which in turn have a beneficial effect on the vital organs. Some of my specialities are:
