🇪🇹🔬 A landmark moment for African pharmaceutical sovereignty! On April 4, 2026, Prime Minister Abiy Ahmed inaugurated a state-of-the-art research complex at the Armauer Hansen Research Institute in Addis Ababa — featuring 40 laboratories, genomics platforms, and a bioequivalence center to test and certify locally manufactured medicines.

With 70–90% of Africa's medicines still imported, this facility is a concrete step toward reducing dependency, strengthening regulatory capacity, and building a self-reliant healthcare system.
