The final selection will be announced by the end of April.

The host city will welcome policymakers, experts and stakeholders from across Europe.

𝐖𝐫𝐚𝐩𝐩𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐮𝐩 𝐭𝐰𝐨 𝐝𝐚𝐲𝐬 𝐨𝐟 𝐥𝐞𝐚𝐫𝐧𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐞𝐱𝐜𝐡𝐚𝐧𝐠𝐞 𝐢𝐧 𝐖𝐮̈𝐫𝐳𝐛𝐮𝐫𝐠!

On 11–12 February 2026, the EUI Capacity Building event “Fit for EU Funding: Training for Municipalities on Sustainable Urban Development” took place in Würzburg, bringing together staff from German municipalities working with or preparing for ERDF-funded urban development projects.

The event focused on strengthening practical skills and confidence to plan and manage EU-funded projects.

Over two days, participants took part in:
- Introductory sessions on EU funding at European and national level,
- Parallel training workshops on funding management, partnerships and innovative administrative approaches, with insights from cities across Europe,
- A field visit to the Hubland district in Würzburg, showing EU-funded urban development in practice,
- Interactive discussions, peer exchange and shared reflections.
