I hosted another retreat last weekend and it was wonderful.

The farmhouse was in a remote countryside location with even the next village a good walk away. Newly renovated, the interior was calm and uncluttered with minimalist decor, every window framing a magnificent view of the rolling French countryside.

The yoga room was probably the most beautiful space that I've ever taught in. I felt inspired by it. My Thai Massage workshop was enjoyed by all, and the Qi Gong practice had a profound effect in such surroundings.

Our chef had worked in a Michelin starred restaurant so we ate some excellent food using the freshest organic produce, the taste of love really was in those meals.

Following the Cacao Ceremony, we experienced something magical as Linda performed live Mantras, her incredible voice soaring into our hearts.

I can honestly say that all 12 guests really enjoyed themselves...and I haven't even mentioned the outdoor hot tub!^^

Already looking forward to the next retreat on 30th October to 1st November.

Bring your pals, grab your yoga mat (or just your enthusiasm) and order your preferred tipple. Nina, Lyon’s yoga teacher for expats, will lead you through a joyfully bendy session fit for the totally un-bendy, beer lovers, seasoned yogis and just about anyone who can lift a pint to their lips.

I’m super proud of the retreat I hosted this weekend with Ayurvedic chef Miki for a wonderful group of students I’ve had the pleasure of teaching since my early days arriving in France. Alongside my usual melting-pot style of yoga, I added a Thai Massage workshop into the line-up. It was my first time teaching massage, and I’m happy to say everyone genuinely enjoyed it.

Miki cooked up an absolute storm of delicious Indian food that kept us all extremely well fed - proper hearty, healthy dishes, colourfully put together, and exactly what we needed to keep us going between sessions.

All of it took place in a beautiful old 'hermitage', think wooden beams, stone floors, open fire; that created the perfect setting for a memorable weekend. I'm really looking forward to my next one in March ^^

A rather nice spot for a spot of yoga this morning. On my holidays only yoga can get me out of bed at 6am, but it's worth it to climb these spectacular cliffs to practice with the wind and the crashing waves.
Feels so good and so worth it every time.

After months of preparation, my first retreat finally happened and I'm proud to say it was a resounding success 🙌

The intention of this weekend escape was to give everyone the space and time to disconnect from the demands of daily life; to then reconnect more centred, focused and recharged...
..believe me, by the end of the retreat everyone really was ready to go again!

Here's how the transformation happened:

✨️ 2 nights (3 days) in the stunning surroundings of the Vercours mountains

✨️ homely and comfy accommodation in a welcoming gîte with friendly hosts, plus their cats and chickens

✨️ yummy food homecooked with love, including freshly laid eggs for brunch

✨️ daily yoga created for everyone of all levels by yours truly

✨️ Qi Gong to uplift & recharge internal energy levels while harmonising with nature

✨️ Shamanic circle, an unique experience to connect with the beat of the drum to encourage clarity and purpose

✨️ a group size of 10 absolutely lovely people coming together to share, listen and support

I can honestly say that all of us felt great upon returning to Lyon.

Qi Gong Teacher Training in Andalusia Spain with Marissa Cranfill; a phenomenal teacher whose You Tube videos rock up over 6 million views each. Her training courses literally sell out in hours, so it's an absolute privilege to be here learning and being inspired by her.

Half way through this 10 day immersion of cultivating my vital life-force through breathing techniques, flowing movement sequences and mental concentration; I'm feeling alive with an awakened strength that transcends my physical body. It's seriously powerful stuff!
