Coming alone can feel daunting. Your mind goes into overdrive:

“Will everyone be horrible?”

“Am I going to look like Billy No Mates?”

“Do I just… hover near the hummus until someone adopts me?”

Here’s what’s actually true: around 30% of women come solo — and we’ve had retreats that are literally 100% women who arrived alone.

And they’re the rock stars. They show up brave, leave with brilliant friends and (even better) a bunch of them loved it so much they’ve come back… alone. Again.

So if you’re waiting for a friend to commit: don’t.
Come solo. We’ll handle the rest.

If we haven’t met (or it’s been a while) - Hi 👋 I’m Steph, the founder of Luul.

I’ve got four kids , a wonderful husband called Will and I live in Marlow. I created Luul because I couldn’t find the kind of break I was craving.

Four years ago I was desperately looking for a retreat and everything felt a bit… intense. Like you had to be the sort of woman who could float into a handstand and overhaul your whole life in a week to fit in.

I love Yoga,, but I’m not the sunrise-handstand type — and I didn’t want a week away to “find myself”.

I just wanted a few days that felt easy, gorgeous, and genuinely restorative.

So Luul is the retreat I was looking for -
brilliant Yoga, Barre, Pilates and Breathwork, beautiful places, incredible food, and long-table chats that turn into proper belly laughs — with women you’re genuinely glad you met.

No pressure to be bendy. No need to be “spiritual”.

No big transformation agenda.

Just a bloody good break — and you’ll come home feeling like yourself again.

If you’ve ever thought, “retreats aren’t really for me”… you’re exactly who Luul is for.

2 years ago we drove past a really fugly house in Salcombe that was for sale…

Will said we NEED to buy that house.

I was like…OVER MY DEAD BODY.

And here we are…2 years later, 3 planning applications down the road and most of the structural work is done!!

We’re aiming to be finished in May…and I couldn’t be more in love with our house.

The view is to die for we created lots of extra bathrooms and bedrooms so we can have run lots of retreats here.

I’ll keep you updated in my stories all I can say is that in real life it’s pretty amazing 😻

We’ll have room for 11 women, a big sauna in the garden, the interiors are beautiful 🩷🩷

Beyond excited for this next chapter.
