Ce qui est difficile avec cette pathologie, c'est que ses signes précurseurs ne sont pas spécifiques. Ils peuvent apparaître progressivement, jusqu’à 10 ans avant le diagnostic officiel.⏳

En 2023, 23 885 personnes âgées de 40 ans et plus vivaient avec un diagnostic de la maladie de Parkinson au Québec : 44 % sont des femmes et 56 % sont des hommes.**

Il est primordial d'apprendre à reconnaître ces signes. Plus tôt le diagnostic est posé, plus vite la prise en charge peut débuter.
