A gentle end-of-year reflection 🌿

As we move towards the end of the year, many people are saying the same thing to me, “This year has been hard.”

And often, when life has been challenging, our minds do something very familiar, they scan for what didn’t happen, what we didn’t finish, how far we think we should be by now.

But today, I want to invite you to pause. . .

Before judging this year, before measuring it against expectations… take a moment to remember what you survived, what you learned, and what quietly grew, even when it didn’t look productive.

💫 Growth doesn’t always look like achievement.
💫 Sometimes it looks like rest.
💫 Sometimes it looks like letting go.
💫 Sometimes it looks like staying soft in a world that asked you to harden.

If this year asked you to slow down, to tend to old wounds, to question your energy, your boundaries, or your beliefs about worth , that doesn’t mean you failed. It means something important was happening beneath the surface.

As we approach the new year, gently notice your language with yourself:
• I don’t have time
• I don’t have energy
• I’m not where I should be

And see what happens if you soften it to:
• I am allowed to begin again
• I am worthy of taking up space
• I have everything I need to take the next small step.

💫 You don’t need to overhaul your life in January
💫 You don’t need to earn rest, or justify joy, or prove your worth.
💫 Sometimes the most healing intention is simply this, to be kinder to yourself than you were last year.

However this year has been for you, I hope you can find at least one thing to honour.
