Happy Thanksgiving ! 🦃
Thanksgiving, c’est la fête américaine de la gratitude : on célèbre l’abondance, on partage une grande tablée (avec la traditionnelle dinde !) et chacun dit à voix haute sa reconnaissance.
Abraham Lincoln, en pleine guerre de Sécession, qui a transformé Thanksgiving en fête nationale régulière — le 3 octobre 1863 il a institué un « National Day of Thanksgiving and Praise » chaque dernier jeudi de novembre.
Saviez-vous que cette tradition de gratitude et de liens américains s’étend jusque dans l’histoire de l’Hôpital Américain de Paris ?

Thanksgiving is the American holiday of gratitude: we celebrate abundance, share a large meal (with the traditional turkey!) and each person expresses their gratitude aloud.
Abraham Lincoln, in the midst of the Civil War, turned Thanksgiving into a regular national holiday—on October 3, 1863, he instituted a “National Day of Thanksgiving and Praise” on the last Thursday of November.
