Back to the practice. Come join us , there are still a few spots left. The practice can be conducted in English, if someone in the group doesn't understand French. [Also - don't miss the chance to meet french open-minded buddies who speak English! ;)]

First of all, well done everyone who has come to practice together. Seeing your interest and nurturing your curiosity felt amazing for me. Looking forward to sharing more of this beautiful knowledge with you in the next chapter.

Recap of what we've touched to:
3 premises: acting kind to yourself (not forcing yourself and not suffering), staying conscious of the breath and giving it the leading role, and keeping the back straight with the image of the rope attached to the center of one's head.
Pranayama : the complete breath, capalabhati, anilom-vilom and a touch of ujjai.
The conscious warm-up for all joints.
Surya namaskar.
Gentle spinal twists and inversions.
Shavasana.
The gratitude moments.

Next sessions are planned for the weeks from 10 to 15 and 17 to 21 July. Gonna revise what we've already done and move on.

Hello everyone, long time no see.
I haven't given consistent yoga courses since we moved out of Au Landy Sauvage to Les Amoures Sauvages, due to the lack of appropriate space and being busy with circus and music.
I also had a low period in my personal practice, which I accept as an experience that shows me that life is indeed much more pleasant with yoga than without.
I'm grateful to the people who make quality online yoga courses that help to find back the joy of conscious and continuous practice. My favorite ones are Дмитрий Демин for Russian speakers and Adrienne https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCFKE7WVJfvaHW5q283SxchA for English speakers. Do you know whats this pose serves for? It prepares your body for the inversions, strengthening the shoulders. To enter in it, you can make a downward facing dog and then bend your elbows. This pose can be practiced in static or in dynamic, or, even better, both ways.

We keep practicing yoga in a restricted cometee, to be able to keep the social distance, etc. PM me if you'd like to join the class.

PS. Normally my classes in Paris are in French, but Shiva knows how much I miss teaching in English ;)

Wow, it's been ages! How have you been doing? I'm still based around Paris, giving occasional classes of Hatha Vinyasa to the people I'm staying with. I miss India and the yoga community that I used to meet there. I also miss the opportunity to give live yoga classes to unknown people - here in France the pandemic restrictions are rather tough.
Still, yoga stays present in my life, and it helps me a lot. During the dark periods of depression and anxiety my practice has reduced or even vanished, and bringing it back helped me to recenter myself, and basically just feel myself better on psychological, physical and existential levels.
So, if you're feeling low, give yourself some attention and care, remember about your breath, and maybe move around a bit, without being too hard on yourself.
My morning practice consists now of a few rounds of Surya Namaskar, 10min meditation and a few hundreds of belly moves in Agnisara - you see, I'm being soft on myself :D.
Here's a little video reminder of the breath scheme in the sun salutations. Tell me if you want some other content, I'd love to make it!
