The 5 Wounds That Keep You From Being Your True Self"
🟣 Slide 1
🩹 The 5 Wounds That Keep You From Being Your True Self
Do you overreact, run away, give too much, or try to control everything?
👉 It might not be “you” — it might be your emotional armor.
🟣 Slide 2 – REJECTION
Wound: Rejection (from conception)
Often from a parent of the same s*x who didn’t truly welcome or accept the child.
🎭 Mask: The Escaper
Adult self-talk: "It’s safer to disappear than to risk being rejected."
🟣 Slide 3 – ABANDONMENT
Wound: Abandonment (ages 0–3)
Comes from emotional unavailability of caregivers.
🎭 Mask: The Dependent
Adult self-talk: "I need others to feel safe. I can’t be alone."
🟣 Slide 4 – HUMILIATION
Wound: Humiliation (ages 1–3)
Comes from being shamed or controlled around body or needs.
🎭 Mask: The Ma*****st
Adult self-talk: "I sacrifice myself. I tolerate too much. I like making others happy, even if it means neglecting my own well-being."
🟣 Slide 5 – BETRAYAL
Wound: Betrayal (ages 2–4)
Comes from a parent of the opposite s*x who lied, broke trust, or manipulated.
🎭 🎭 Mask: The Controller
Adult self-talk : "I don’t trust anyone. I need to take control of everything."
🟣 Slide 6 – INJUSTICE
Wound: Injustice (ages 4–6)
Comes from a cold, rigid parent of the same s*x.
🎭 Mask: The Rigid One
Adult self-talk: "I have to be perfect. Showing emotions is weak. I am strong and independant. Hard working !"
🟣 Slide 7
😮💨 These wounds aren’t your fault.
But as long as you wear the mask, you live in protection — not in truth.
💡 The good news? You can heal.
🟣 Slide 8
