We are pleased to share highlights from the recent COR Meeting, where it was truly a pleasure to gather with all our constituent societies and colleagues joining us from other countries.

The role of hypnotherapy in managing gastroenterological disorders

Functional gastrointestinal disorders (now known as disorders of gut-brain interaction, DGBI) account for 30-50% of a gastroenterologist’s workload. Still, they are often dismissed as being trivial and largely due to psychological distress.

Educational Objectives
1. To understand the symptoms of IBS and related disorders and their impact on the quality of life of sufferers.
2. To learn about the conventional approaches to treating these conditions.
3. To see how hypnotherapy can improve the symptoms of these conditions and even positively influence the pathophysiology.
