I’ve always been drawn to the idea that true preparation for a healthy baby begins long before conception.
I’m fascinated by how nutrition and lifestyle don’t just influence getting pregnant—but shape the quality of pregnancy and the health of your future child.

Hi, I’m Joanna, a fertility nutritionist helping women prepare their bodies for pregnancy through nutrient-dense, traditional foods.

My journey started in science (hello microbiology 👩‍🔬), but it led me across the world—from Canada to Korea to Paris—questioning everything I thought I knew about “healthy eating.”

Now, I focus on what actually supports fertility: real food, rich nutrients, and lifestyle.

Food you should avoid during Easter…

When you eat a nourishing, healthy, whole-food based diet you can enjoy having some traditional “not-so-healthy” foods during the holidays.

It’s not an excuse to overindulge, but having some chocolate on Easter or some celebratory cakes won’t ruin all of your hard work to support your fertility.

Balance is important for the body and mind.

Eating for fertility doesn’t have to be boring.

Here are some recent meals and snacks I’ve been loving.

Tips:
- Adding fermented veggies like sauerkraut or kimchi to your breakfast pairs well with eggs and supports gut health
- Using fresh herbs to elevate salads makes everything taste better
- Cottage cheese is a great high-protein snack and can be sweet or savoury
- Buy high quality ice cream to enjoy with fresh fruits for dessert to satisfy a sweet tooth
- Medjool dates with nut butter (or salted butter) are absolutely amazing and don’t spike blood sugar



(And I realize I spelled fiber/fiber both ways 😂😂)
