For years, I practiced a hard, aggressive style of yoga. I believed in no pain, no gain. I injured almost every joint in my body.

Over the last decade, I’ve been studying movement through a different lens — one that considers the whole person, not just the body. Less about acrobatic tricks. More about keeping the body functional, strong, and pain-free through middle age and every decade that follows.

What changed wasn’t just how I move. It was how I think about the entire practice. Bridging Eastern philosophy with Western science creates a depth that goes far beyond the physical – helping you meet the harder moments of life with steadiness and ease.

Now in my forties, I climb mountains, nothing hurts, and for the first time ever, my mind feels as steady as my body.

This is what I want for you.

Join me April 21 for a free class on Zoom.

This class is for those who are done pushing through. For those who want to feel what movement feels like when it’s actually on your side.

The world benefits from your nervous system being regulated. Nobody benefits when it’s not.

I see this with my kids. When they’re upset and I keep my cool, their tantrums pass quickly. But when I get pushed over the edge, the whole house explodes.

You probably know this feeling too.

It’s easy to get caught up in worry about where things seem to be headed right now. But ask yourself: who benefits from your anxiety? Who benefits when you’re dysregulated?

A mindfulness practice gives you the ability to notice when you’re caught up in thought and choose to come back. That moment of noticing — that’s where you remember you have a choice.

When worry takes over, ask yourself: is there action I need to take right now? If yes, take it. If no, the worry is only giving you the illusion you’re doing something.

Sometimes you need to move energy through your body so it doesn’t loop.

I just released a free 16-minute movement practice. Comment STEADY below and I’ll send it directly to you.

There are no mistakes. You’re exactly where you need to be, doing exactly what you need to be doing.

Don’t hold back. Live fully. There are no do-overs, so laugh, cry, and love with everything you have.

Don’t close your eyes or turn your back on life. Open your arms and let it in. Hold space for the full range of what it means to be human.

Perspective doesn’t just shape your life. It is your life.

To get the most out of your Prasarita Padottanasana, or Wide-Legged Forward Fold, try it with a strap.

This prop isn’t about going deeper into the stretch — it’s about creating space so you can actually access the deeper muscles.

Try it out and let me know how it feels for your in the comments (and don’t forget to save this video if you can’t try it out right now!)

We can measure heart rates and muscle fatigue, but we can’t measure the shift that happens when you finally allow yourself to exhale.

In my classes, we use the physical body as a doorway. My background is in exercise physiology—six years at UBC studying the science of movement. I care deeply about the mechanics of how you move, but I also know that you are more than a collection of muscles and joints.

Most people I work with arrive feeling stretched thin, carrying the quiet weight of their responsibilities. They come for the movement, but they stay for the clarity. They find that when we combine the precision of Western science with the depth of Eastern philosophy, something shifts that a lab report just can’t explain.

One student called it a workout and a therapy session for the soul combined. It’s about building a body that feels strong and free, and a mind that feels like a reliable place to live.

If you’re ready to move in a way that acknowledges all of you, the waitlist for the Complete Movement Method is open comment MOVE and I’ll send you the link to join.

What if you could step away from the noise and into a version of yourself that feels entirely expanded?

Twelve years ago, and I discovered a perfect resonance between Sthira (strength) and Sukha (ease). We led trainings from Italy to India until life took us to Toronto and Athens. After years of dreaming of teaching together again—this August 1–3, that dream becomes a reality.

This is a dedicated space to reset at . Between the forest and the lake, you’ll find the clarity needed to focus on the life you want to lead when you return home.

On this retreat, you will:

* Identify the blocks preventing you from stepping into your truest life.
* Move, breathe, and expand from a place of deep awareness.
* Align your daily actions with your heart’s vision.

We are holding an intimate container with only 5 spots left. Early Bird pricing ends April 30th.

Comment RETREAT below and I’ll DM you the info. 🙏🏼

You don’t have to trade the depth of your practice for the strength your body needs.

For many of us, the way we used to move is no longer leaving us feeling supported, stable, or strong. Maybe your joints are more sensitive, or the repetitive shapes you’ve done for years are leaving you feeling achy rather than empowered.

It isn’t about doing less; it’s about moving with more sophistication.

I’m developing a new program called the Complete Movement Method. It’s a sustainable blend of yoga, strength, and mobility work designed to help you feel capable and grounded without sacrificing the quiet, meditative heart of your practice. We still move with the breath and prioritize savasana, but the movements are refined to build the stability you need for real life.

I’m teaching a Free Class on Zoom on April 21st at 2pm EST to give you a taste of this more intelligent way of moving. It’s an invitation to stop guessing and start trusting your body again.

If you want to join us, comment Move below and I’ll send you the link. Please feel free to share this with any friends who might find it helpful. 🙏🏼

There’s a specific kind of internal vibration that comes from trying to squeeze an hour of life into a 30 minute window. It’s a low-grade strain we’ve learned to accept as normal.

The practice of Yutori – arriving early on purpose – is less about being punctual and more about giving your nervous system a chance to land. It’s the difference between walking into a room breathless and walking in already settled.

It is the simple, quiet permission to just sit and wait for a few minutes before you have to be “on.”

Where in your day could you take one thing out of the schedule to make room a bigger buffer? I’d love to hear in the comments how you’re finding or fighting for spaciousness in your day.

It’s possible the practice you’re doing doesn’t fit your needs today. My practice has changed because my life changed.

Someone asked me recently what style of yoga I teach—something they could easily visualize, like Vinyasa or Ashtanga. But my teaching has evolved over the last decade. It’s now a blend of styles and sequences from various movement practices. Things you might not typically think of as yoga.

If you’re curious about my approach, I am sharing a free class in my newsletter tomorrow. You can sign up through the link in my profile and share with anyone you think might be interested. 🙏🏼

Where you are right now is not a mistake. You may not like it, but it’s where you need to be.

It’s from this place that the next version of you takes shape. This is where you rediscover your strength and find ease.

Stop fighting it, everything starts from here.

All you need to do is wake up, pay attention and breathe.
