This is Hyojeong, Anna, and Alina from the NomadHer team.
We’ve been informed by some of you that a suspicious user named “Nastazja” has sent messages requesting payment for verification. Please do not click the link and be assured that NomadHer will never ask you to pay for verification.

We are currently working to delete the messages, and we have found that around 3,000 of you received these messages from this account. We believe this may have been a planned attempt with malicious intent from an external profile.

We want to sincerely thank everyone who reached out to alert us. Thanks to your quick reporting, starting at 9:27 PM (KST), our team began taking action at 9:38 PM, and we have been working through the night to block this user and remove all suspicious messages from our database. It’s now around 00:33am in Korea, and we are close to completing the cleanup.

As our community grows, unexpected situations can arise, but we are committed to acting promptly and strengthening the safety and trust within NomadHer. Your reports and vigilance help us keep this space safe for everyone.

We really want to make sure that none of you have been affected by this. So far, we have sent general push notification to all of our users, posted on the community feed, and sent a newsletter to all our database of around 90,000 NomadHers in our newsletter recipient list. This social media post is to let you know that we are taking action about this case.

Before my first solo trip, I was scared of being alone, of getting lost, of not knowing what to do next.
But solo travel turned out to be the best thing I’ve ever done for myself.

It teaches you strength, patience, and trust.
You learn to enjoy your own company, to find beauty in silence, and to meet people who remind you how kind the world can be.
