Thank god for sunny days to help me through sitting on the laptop (definitely one of my least favourite things to be doing 😅) for hours on end writing up the cookbook for my French Classics cooking retreat this week!

Starting prepping today and getting the house ready for our new guests 🥰 can’t wait to feed all their lovely faces!

Today’s is of me putting the wood delivery away… not quite the human interest story anyone asked for 😅

The first photo is from yesterday and the second is December 2023 when we’d just moved here 🥰 we were clueless about how much wood to order, how to stack it (no air flow = mouldy wood = not good) and how may splinters you can actually get in one hand 😂

We are also like MINDBLOWINGLY stronger than we were when we moved here - without trying, without usually noticing - literally just from having to lug things like big bags of wood around. Honestly, screw the gym, move to the middle of nowhere and have log burners 😂😂

It’s crazy how much you can learn in just over two years, how much can change and how different a person you can turn out to be. Take every day as it comes and see where it takes you 💕

Love our yoga space 🥰 all set up this morning for a class for the Zen Do that we have staying with us this week!

Its such a different energy to our usual groups of guests but we’re all having such a laugh - enjoying good company, some relaxation and tasty food 🥰

We don’t have all the rooms made up unless people are actually coming to stay so it’s a treat to walk around and the house look so good!!

Out here feeling like a fancy hotel or something 😂

We’ve spent bloody ages trying to decide if we would supply shampoo and conditioner - seems like quite a lame debate now I say it 😅 but I know that hair care is something super personal, I legit never use hotel ones as they’re usually crap and my hair likes what it likes!

But we finally agreed, why not just have it there and then people have the choice? And we’ve obviously gone for eco friendly, vegan and organic products (and they smell gorgeous 🥰).

So if you’re coming to stay with us, feel free to pack a bit lighter and use our bathroom supplies! 💕

Before we moved here, I never had the space to do yoga outside (and also, the weather in March in England - ya dreaming 😅) - it’s actually such a bloody gorgeous feeling!!

I look around at what we’ve made here and I can’t believe two slightly unsavvy 30 years olds managed to do it all in just two years!

It’s such a dream being here, birds chirping and sun shining. We have our first guests of the year in this weekend and I just can’t wait to share our home with them 🥰💕
