Simple Touch

Simple Touch Colette Hall EI, practitioner in body wellness massage techniques for you as an individual. Qualified with a Diploma in Sports Massage, BTEC (level 5).
(1)

She is also First Aid trained and fully insured. Colette moved out to the mountains in 2017 to enjoy her snowboarding. She discovered that the mountains had so much more to offer than just the winter, and now loves to explore the area with hiking and road cycling and includes splitboarding in the winter. She is a member of the local french cycling club Cyclos Thonon and took part in the L'etape du Tour in July 2023, from Annemasse to Morzine, 152km with 4200m climbing. Using her qualification in Sports and Remedial Massage Therapy is a perfect combination in giving something back to the local community. She trained in London with a Diploma in Sports and Remedial Massage, BTEC (level 5) at the prestigious London School of Sports Massage (LSSM). This training gave her a good understanding of Anatomy and the effects of Sports Massage. Working mainly from her treatment room in Saint Jean d’Aulps, Colette can meet your needs. The massage is tailored to you, and will be using a variety of techniques to ease those aches and pains to get you back to your normal well being and enjoying your sports as quickly as possible. My massages are not for medical treatment and I am not a physiotherapist. However, they are complementary to the work of an osteopath, chiropractor or physiotherapist. Since Sept 2024, Colette is back in the classroom, on her new journey learning the Jing Method for Advanced Clinical Massage. This will be to learn a fusion of advanced techniques, such as Trigger Point release, and Myofascial release and learning new proven methods for helping those with Chronic Pain and helping them improve their quality of life... An inspiring and knowledge-packed day of First Aid at Work training with 🩹⛑️

Keeping our skills sharp means keeping you safe. Should the unexpected ever happen, having the confidence and training to respond effectively is essential.

In the U.K., staying up to date with first aid isn’t just a box to tick for massage therapists — it’s a core part of delivering responsible, high-quality care. Continuous learning ensures that every client is supported, protected, and in the safest hands possible.

Feeling grateful for the refresher, and ready to bring this knowledge straight back into the treatment room.

Feeling so grateful for every single client who’s trusted me with their wellbeing this year. Your support truly means the world. 💜

This year has been especially big for me as I completed my Advanced Clinical Massage Therapy training. It’s allowed me to support you on a deeper level — helping ease long-term pain, improve mobility, calm the nervous system, and give you more comfort and freedom in your body.

It’s been a wonderfully busy year, and with all that learning and caring for others, I’m taking a much-needed break to rest and reset.

If you’d like to squeeze in a pre-Christmas unwind, I have 3 final appointments on the 18th December.

I’ll then be closed for a festive recharge until Tuesday 6th January.

Wishing you a peaceful, joyful snowy Christmas filled with rest, warmth, skiing and snowboarding. 🎄

✨ Your Fascia Loves Fresh Movement! ✨

With all the recent buzz around fascia, here’s the beautiful part:

You don’t need to “break it up” — you just need to wake it up. Great article in The Guardian today.

💜 Myofascial release massage and moving your body in new, varied ways both help your fascial network stay hydrated and responsive.

When we introduce gentle, sustained pressure or explore different ranges of motion, we:
• Boost fluid flow through the tissues
• Ease protective tension
• Improve glide between layers
• Help the body find smoother, freer movement

Your fascia is a sensory web — it loves novelty, slow stretching, natural movement, and mindful touch.

Whether it’s a treatment on the table or simply moving differently throughout your day, small changes can make your whole body feel more open, relaxed, and alive. 💆‍♀️💜

🛁 The Lost Art of Bathing?

Centuries ago, bathing was more than getting clean — it was a ritual of restoration. People would soak, scrub, and reconnect with their bodies. The warmth of the water softened muscles, improved circulation, and calmed the nervous system — preparing the body for rest and renewal.

Today, we rush through showers and stay in constant “go mode.” But when you take time for a warm bath, you activate your parasympathetic nervous system — the same one that’s nurtured during massage. It slows your breathing, lowers stress hormones, and helps the body release tension more deeply.

A bath before or after massage can enhance those benefits — soothing sore muscles, easing fascia, and helping your body integrate the calm. ✨

🪷 Slow down. Soak. Let your body remember what relaxation feels like, you’ll thank me later 💜

I’m enjoying a soak after a Sunday hike today 🤗

Been carrying a painful shoulder that just won’t ease up?

Maybe you’ve tried physio or sports massage, but the relief never lasts?

That’s where Advanced Clinical Massage Therapy (ACMT) steps in.

Unlike a regular sports massage that focuses mainly on the muscles, ACMT looks at the whole picture — the muscles, fascia, joints, and even how your nervous system is responding.

✨ Maybe that shoulder pain isn’t coming from your shoulder at all.
✨ Maybe a tight chest, locked ankle, or even your posture at work is playing a role.
✨ Maybe your nervous system needs calming before your body can truly release.

With ACMT, I use a combination of advanced techniques — myofascial release, trigger point therapy, stretching, deep tissue, and hot stones — blended to suit your unique needs. Each session is designed to reduce pain, restore movement, and bring your body back into balance.

Most clients feel noticeable change within 3–6 treatments — less pain, more ease, and a body that finally feels free again. 💜

I’m proud to say I’m now a qualified Advanced Clinical Massage Therapist (ACMT) through the Jing MethodTM — a leading, evidence-based approach to treating chronic pain and helping people move and live better.

✨ “Fantastic as always…” ✨

Hearing feedback like this truly makes my day 🤗

Regular massage isn’t just about easing pain — it’s about preventing it.

Even when you feel “fine,” your muscles can hold hidden tightness from everyday stress, training, or posture. Releasing that tension before it builds keeps your body balanced, mobile, and pain-free.

Your body deserves regular care — not just when it hurts 💜

If you wasn’t there, you missed out big time! If you are going tomorrow, I’d happily swap your space, you are in for a treat.

It’s so delicious to have a meal foraged and prepared with such delicacy and flavours that pop in your mouth.

I just wish Blossom & Weeds had a more permanent feature in the mountains as Rachael’s food offers something so amazingly different.

Looking forward to the next pop up restaurant already.

Thank you 🙏😀

Well-being Massage with Simple Touch

Feeling more relaxed living in the Alps, I have been inspired by the surroundings to embrace my qualifications earned in Sports Massage. I trained with the London School of Sports Massage in Sports and Remedial Massage to BTEC level 5. Not long after becoming qualified personal life events meant I was unable to continue with my path as a Massage therapist, until now.

I will be using different massage techniques to smooth and relax the muscles dedicated to the well-being of the you.

My well-being massage services provides a guide to the well-being massages available. They are always tailored to your individual needs to help bring you back to a normal state by relaxing any tension held in the muscle.

You will be asked to complete a brief health questionnaire on appointment. This is to ensure that you do not have any existing conditions that could cause a contradiction to massage, so this is for your wealthfare. All client records are held strictly confidental.
