A cruise with Caldera’s Boats turns into a nightmare. Everything was conducive to relaxation. We arrive near warm waters. The guide invites us to jump from the boat into cold waters to swim to the warm waters 20m further on. I was shocked to go from a scorching temperature to more than cool water, it took me 1 to 2 minutes to catch my breath. The fate was dramatic for one of the passengers who came to enjoy it with his family. This gentleman suffered a cardiac arrest in the water, everyone was shouting mayday mayday but it took the crew a while to realize that it was serious. Several people tried a cardiac massage unfortunately without success and the worst thing was that there was no defibrillator in the boat and the captain should have called the cross for help but nothing... After 40 minutes a Shuttle type boat arrived, there was not even help to transport this lifeless gentleman in front of his collapsed family. Thinking of this family who overwhelmed me ♥️
