I fell into the ugly pattern of control, anger, blame and resentment… I wanted to find a way of life that was right for me, but first I had to heal myself. I had to look long and hard to realize how much of my misery was not due to the alcoholics in my life, but was of my own doing. I have found that recovery is a journey, not a destination. I had to change a lifetime of habits and character defects, and I have done this by working the Twelve Steps of Al-Anon.”
