Day 12, 15, 18 of challenge 🫣🫣 I totally bombed on this challenge despite my best intentions. I have still been practicing so I took a little scroll through my practice videos and voila I have actually completed some poses unintentionally.
As soon as my husband’s home from working away there’s less time for long evening practices, making it harder to maintain that discipline I had been cultivating all month while he was away. That means more flowing, less structured practice, less working on achieving certain poses and shifting the focus of my practice to connecting and releasing tension ❤️

Day 8 - not a chance of holding onto the knees 😑 day 7 was impossible for me and out of camera shot when I played it back and the floor was too bouncy for day 6 so I will have to play catch up on those. Turns out I am just as rubbish as I’ve always been at keeping up with challenges 😂.

Catching up on the challenge — days three, four, and five! A little stop, drop, and yoga while taking George for a sleep in the pram.
My husband’s just got back from work, so I’m not on the gram much at the moment.
Hoping I can keep up with the challenge though!
I can really see how much my lunge with the backbend has improved — now I just need to work on dropping my hands down towards my feet.
Next practice, I’m going to use the wall for feedback and try walking my hands down. Let’s see how it goes!

Leaning Into Santosha: Contentment in Action

Santosha isn’t just a concept—it’s a practice. A choice we make, again and again, to meet life as it is rather than how we think it should be.

But let’s be real. Acceptance isn’t always easy.
It’s frustrating when our bodies don’t move the way we want.
It’s disappointing when plans fall through.
It’s uncomfortable when emotions surface that we’d rather push away.

Yet, Santosha isn’t about forcing ourselves to love every moment—it’s about making peace with it.

So how do we bring this practice into daily life?
✨ Pause before reacting—Can you take a breath and observe the moment before resisting it?
✨ Notice the small joys—Can you appreciate what is instead of focusing on what’s missing?
✨ Shift the inner dialogue—Instead of “This isn’t how it should be,” try “This is what is—how can I meet it with grace?”

On the mat, that might look like softening into a posture instead of forcing depth. Off the mat, it might mean embracing the unpredictability of life with a little more ease.

This week, I invite you to notice where you resist and see if you can shift towards acceptance instead. What changes when you stop fighting the moment and start flowing with it?

We were asked to introduce ourselves at the handstand workshop last weekend and say how long we’ve been practicing yoga. I said I’ve been practicing for 10 years, but actually 10 years is the amount of time I’ve been practicing consistently. I actually started my yoga practice when I was 20 years old at university with a Geri Halliwell DVD -22 years ago 😳. I just found it on YouTube because all I can actually remember doing was tree pose but it’s actually a full rounded yoga lesson with really good instruction on all the basics. I used to practice this video everyday after university and I have to say my main intention was to have a body like Geri Halliwell. It was probably followed by an Archers Aqua alcopop and a single lambert and butler cigarette 😂
The reason why you are drawn to yoga is not important. Whether it’s to get a fit body, destress, learn handstands or actually connect to your higher self.
Yoga may come in and out of your life and your reasons for practicing will definitely change over the years. But with consistent practice yoga will carry you deeper and deeper into yourself. It will show you sides of yourself you have hidden away, it will ask you to confront your limitations and self limiting beliefs. It will ask you to expand your consciousness and remove the veil of ignorance. All you have to do is show up, with earnest sincerity, and the practice will do the rest ❤️
If you’ve drifted away from your practice remember it is still there waiting patiently for you to return 😘

Bonjour à toutes et à tous ! Je suis ravie de vous inviter à mon cours de yoga Embodied Flow.

Il s’agit d’un mélange de mouvements forts, ludiques et fluides qui vous permettent de sentir votre corps bouger d’une nouvelle façon. Nous commençons le cours par un peu de mouvement somatique, qui consiste à se mettre à l’écoute des rythmes naturels de son corps et à se débarrasser de toute tension. Incarner chaque posture en étant plus attentif aux sensations qui en découlent crée un mouvement plus intuitif. Apprenez à circuler avec une conscience accrue et à trouver votre équilibre entre l’effort et l’aise.

Same same but different 🧘🏼‍♀️ 🇫🇷 👇
Ever notice how Kapotasana, Scorpion Pincha, and Chin Stand Scorpion are basically the same pose in a different orientation. They use the same muscles and require the same strength! 💪 Practicing these poses in one session can seriously boost your progress.
Each pose is a deep backbend, requiring core strength, strong and open shoulders, and activating the upper back muscles and hamstrings. They stretch your quads, hip flexors, and chest. Basically a big stretch of the front body and an activation of the back body. By moving through them all in one practice, you’re building muscle memory, improving flexibility, and refining your alignment in different orientations. 🙌
Repeating similar shapes helps your body understand the movement patterns and makes it easier to go deeper each time. Whenever I start a practice I think about what poses I want to work on and warm the body working through similar poses, preparatory poses, that use the same components of muscle activation. Intelligent sequencing enables you to get the most out of your time on the mat - from a physical point of view.
But remember all time on the mat is time well spent even if it’s only 10 mins ❤️🧘🏼‍♀️
