Quiet mornings in France after meditations at Something about the birds greeting the day while the mist rises with the Sun is the perfect combination of simple pleasures that make you feel happy to be alive. Haven’t done much deep backbending in the past 6 months. My body felt better doing more of the internal work to open my heart rather than the physical. Then somehow today, it felt appropriate. Hope you’re making the appropriate choices today that feed your soul peace. Even if that means turning off your phone and touching base tomorrow.

Been contemplating this one leading up to the election in terms of how we allocate our time and energy. I’ve been watching people in both political parties expend a lot of it on both sides and most of the time reacting with anger, disappointment, or any variety of emotions that come up. So I wonder what the balance between action and nonattachment would look like during this election. Would it sound kinder? More understanding?
