Có hai cách nghiên cứu: Một là nghiên cứu để tích luỹ sở tri, đầy ắp sách vở, kinh luận nhằm mục đích phô trương kiến thức, nhưng thực ra vẫn rỗng tuếch, chỉ thêm trói buộc. Hai là nghiên cứu để phá bỏ những sở tri chướng trong tư tưởng, kiến thức, quan niệm, lý thuyết vay mượn bên ngoài, nhường lại cho tri kiến trực nhận sự thật, đó là giác ngộ giải thoát.

There are two ways of research: One is research to accumulate knowledge, full of scriptures and treatises for the purpose of flaunting knowledge, but in fact it is still empty, only to add to it. The second is to learn to break the obstacles of knowledge, in thought of ideas, conceptions and theories borrowed from the outside, in order to cede the wisdom directly to aware realized of truth, which is liberating enlightenment.

Il existe deux méthodes de recherche: la première est la recherche pour accumuler des connaissances, remplies d'écritures et de traités dans le but de faire étalage de connaissances, mais en fait, elles sont encore vides, uniquement pour y ajouter. Le second est d'apprendre à briser les obstacles de la connaissance, dans la pensée d'idées, de conceptions et de théories empruntées à l'extérieur, afin de céder la sagesse directement consciente réalisée de la vérité, ce qui libère l'illumination.
