Hello! Just a reminder that I no longer teach yoga or offer energy healing. I moved to France in December 2024, where I work as a writer remotely. I tried to delete this page but it was still showing on google! Hoping you're all good, lots of love! ###

At the risk of this sounding like a dodgy Oscars acceptance speech, I just want you all to know how much I will miss teaching you all in person or working therapeutically with you.

I am SO grateful for each and every one of you for coming to my classes and/or energy healing sessions. It’s really been an honour to work with you all 🧡

While I’m incredibly excited about this next chapter, this isn’t goodbye. I will be teaching virtually - more details coming soon

This will be my last meditation evening of the year, so if you’d like to book a spot drop me a message 🧡 looking forward...

🍁 STRUGGLING WITH SAD? 🍁

I’ve been speaking with a lot of clients who suffer from SAD (Seasonal Affective Disorder) and the darker months can be a daunting and difficult time.

Most people can feel a little glum when looking outside at grey rainy days, but SAD is way more than that. It’s our body responding to a lack of sunlight.

It’s also worth mentioning that just like nature our body NEEDS to slow down during the winter months. However we often power through the year at the same pace, thinking we can be just as productive and busy as we are in the summer. So whether you suffer from SAD or not - try and take more time to rest in the winter and SLOW DOWN, your body and mind will thank you for it.

〰️ SAD is a type of depression that has a seasonal pattern, with episodes occurring at the same time each year.

〰️ It is caused by a lack of sunlight and the change of seasons

〰️ It is different to just feeling a little glum at the sight of grey rainy days, it’s depression

〰️ it causes a drop in seratonin (happy chemical in the brain) so it’s important to find natural and healthy seratonin boosters

〰️ It can affect our sleep patterns, so try now to get into a habit of falling asleep at around the same time every night and see if you can get to bed earlier if possible

〰️ Speak to a doctor or healthcare professional if you need to - SAD is something to take seriously

Do you struggle with SAD? What coping methods do you have in your tool box?

Personal overshare 🧡

I spent time with my great auntie last weekend. I’ve grown up knowing that she, her mum Gladys (my great grandma) and her mum’s sister Gwen were healers. They didn’t train in reiki or read books about about energy, they just somehow figured out that they could tap into people’s deeper layers.

My aunt told me how her mum would often have friends or family members over and she would place her hands on parts that hurt and it would soothe the person.

My auntie was there once when her mum had a friend over who had horrendous jaw pain. Her mum went through the motions and by the end of their time together the pain had gone. So much so that her friend stayed for dinner and was able to eat when she hadn’t been able to for a few days.

I asked my auntie to tell me what her mum did with her hands, and she pretty much did exactly what I do in a reiki session. Which, I’ll be honest, blew my mind 😂

My auntie also told me that she just “knows” stuff about people, and isn’t sure how, she just does.

My grandpa’s auntie Lottie (other side of the family) was the same. He also read palms for fun when he was younger.

The word “psychic” is often laden with negative connotations - and sometimes for good reason as unfortunately some people use the word to exploit people. However, I know that there are a lot of people in my family that would fall under that category.

Whilst I trained in reiki, over the years I’ve tapped into my own intuition and have created my own “system” for when I work with my lovely clients. Much like my aunt, I can’t really explain to you what happens, but I get images, words, or feelings/hunches as I work.

I don’t think this is magic, I just think it’s an extra sense that I’ve managed to discover that has been passed down to me. We are all connected, and we all have energy that runs through us. I am really grateful and proud of this insight, even if I do find it pretty bloody odd.

DAILY GRATITUDE IN LESS THAN 3 SECONDS 〰️

I’ve been doing this every morning for about two years.

It’s now become a habit, so don’t have to think about saying it anymore, it just happens. I usually say “thank” as one foot touches the floor, and “you” as the second one goes down. 👣

For me, I feel saying “thank you” covers so many things: for literally being alive, for having a bed to wake up in, for the whole day ahead of me (even if I know it’s going to be a tough one or I’m feeling anxious/down/worried etc), for the clothing I’m wearing, for the breakfast I’m about to make myself, for the hot water in my shower - the list is endless 🧡

It might sound far fetched, but as soon as you show gratitude, like saying “thank you” or running through a list in your mind of what you’re thankful for - your brain registers those things as important to you. Over time it will then be programmed to seek out more of those things. It’s not magic, it’s neuroscience 〰️

Halloween 🧡 When we think of 31st October it’s sweets, costumes and parties, but Samhain (it’s original name) is around 2,000 years old - with some studies saying it could date back 5,000 years.

It’s the beginning of the “dark half” of the year and would have been a time where food was more scarce and illness was more likely… creating a fear of 🪦

It’s also said to be a good time to communicate with passed loved ones and our spirit guides (if that’s your trick or treat bag)

It’s also a time of rest. Nature takes the lead and starts to slow down, encouraging us to do the same as the colder months roll in.

So whether today is about getting the tarot cards out or saying hello to ghostly pals, or if it’s getting dressed up, or eating your body weight in sweets - have a very Happy Halloween and Samhain blessings 🧙🏼‍♀️🖤🎃

Make yourself a Happy Jar!

Some days it’s hard to focus on the good stuff (which is always ok btw) 🧡 So on the days that you are bursting with gratitude, write them down - and pop them in your jar and slowly watch it fill up.

Then on those days where things are feeling a little tough, give yourself a reminder.
