Cat–Camel is a classic for a reason — simple, gentle, and super effective when done well 🐈‍⬛🐪

Benefits of the Cat–Camel exercise:
• Improves spinal mobility
Moves the spine through flexion and extension, helping keep it mobile from neck to lower back.

• Reduces stiffness & tension
Great for easing tightness in the back, especially after long periods of sitting or first thing in the morning.

• Promotes spinal awareness & control
Helps you learn how to segment and control your spine, which carries over into better movement patterns.

• Supports back health & pain management.
Often used in rehab settings to gently reintroduce spinal motion without loading.

• Encourages relaxation & breathing
When paired with slow breathing, it can calm the nervous system and reduce protective muscle tension.

• Low-impact & accessible
Suitable for most people — from early rehab to warm-ups and cool-downs.

Coaching tip:
Move slowly and smoothly, no forcing end ranges. Inhale as you extend, exhale as you round, and focus on quality over range.

Thread the Needle is one of those sneaky-good exercises — it looks gentle, but it delivers a lot. Here’s what it’s great for 👇

Benefits of the Thread the Needle exercise:
- Improves thoracic spine mobility. Helps restore rotation through the upper back, which is huge for posture, shoulder health, and pain-free movement.
- Reduces upper-back & neck stiffness
Great for desk workers, athletes, and anyone feeling tight through the mid-back or shoulders.
- Supports shoulder health. Encourages smooth scapular movement and takes stress off the shoulders during pushing, pulling, and overhead work.
- Promotes spinal rotation control. Trains controlled rotation rather than forcing range — useful in rehab and injury prevention.
- Enhances breathing mechanics. Opening up the rib cage can improve breathing efficiency, especially when paired with slow exhales.
- Low-impact & rehab-friendly. Easy to scale, joint-friendly, and suitable for warm-ups, cool-downs, or rehab phases.

Coaching tip:
Move slowly, rotate from the upper back (not the low back), and breathe into the stretch — exhale as you “thread” through.

Can Chiropractic treatment help with Chronic neck pain - of course we can 👌

The research shows there was a clear advantage of spinal manipulation combined with exercise vs. spinal manipulation alone over two years.

The researches concluded that chronic neck pain patients should enter treatment protocols including rehab exercises along with spinal manipulation for optimal results.

You are what you eat — not just today, but for years to come.

Daily food choices shape energy levels, gut health, inflammation, and how well your body ages. Longevity isn’t built on perfection, it’s built on consistent, nourishing habits 🥦🍎

This isn’t about ‘good’ vs ‘bad’ foods — it’s about patterns.
Whole, nutrient-dense foods support longevity, resilience, and quality of life. Ultra-processed choices, when they dominate, do the opposite. Choose what helps you age well.

Longevity starts on your plate.
Fuel your body like you plan on keeping it for a long time.

Glute bridges are one of those “simple but sneaky” rehab exercises—nothing flashy, but they check a lot of boxes for low-back pain.

1) They restore hip extension without loading the spine.

A ton of low-back pain comes from the lumbar spine doing work that the hips (glutes) should be doing.

Glute bridges:
• Train hip extension in a spine-neutral position
• Minimize shear and compression on the lumbar segments
• Let the glutes take back their job

Less lumbar compensation = happier low back.

2) They reduce overactivity of the lumbar extensors.

People with back pain often rely too much on:
• Erector spinae
• QL (Quadratus Lumborum)
• Hip flexors

Bridges cue:
“Squeeze the glutes, not arch the back.”

When done well, they down-regulate cranky spinal muscles while strengthening the posterior chain.

3) They reinforce pelvic control.

Bridges teach control of:
• Posterior ↔ anterior pelvic tilt
• Rib-pelvis stacking
• Neutral pelvis under load

That’s huge, because poor pelvic control often equals excessive lumbar motion during walking, lifting, or standing.

4) They’re a gateway to better movement patterns.

Bridges are often a stepping stone toward:
• Hip hinges
• Squats
• Deadlifts
• Step-ups

If someone can’t extend the hips on the floor, they’ll definitely steal motion from the low back once upright.

5) Low threat, low pain, high confidence.

From a pain-science angle:
• Supine position feels safe
• Movement is slow and controlled
• Range is self-limited

That helps reduce fear and muscle guarding while still rebuilding capacity.

6) They improve endurance, not just strength.

For back pain, endurance often matters more than max strength.

Bridges:
• Encourage longer holds
• Train sustained glute activation
• Support postural endurance

This matters for things like standing, walking, and sitting tolerance.

7) Easy to scale up or down.

Bridges are incredibly adjustable:
• Regression: shorter range, feet closer, arms down
• Progression: single-leg, banded, long-lever, tempo holds

That makes them useful across every phase of rehab.

The human body is constructed from a variety of tissue types, each of which heals at a different rate and responds differently to various exercises or activities.

It is important to know what type of tissue is compromised when injury occurs, in order to appropriately estimate a time frame for healing and to set appropriate expectations for rehabilitation.

Muscles are the quickest tissue to heal due to its great blood supply.

- Contracting and/or stretching a muscle will stimulate blood flow through the tissue, encouraging health and healing

- Injuries can occur through muscle imbalances

- These imbalances can cause unnecessary strain on the skeletal system which can lead to pain.

- Correcting muscular imbalances via activities that promote proper movement and muscle recruitment patterns can allow muscle healing to occur.
