New Horizons' Tracy Thomas Deputy Director had the privilege of being invited to celebrate with Cwmbach Diabetes Group's at their 50th Anniversary last night at the Ynyscynon Inn, Cwmbach. It was wonderful to hear the history of the group and the tenacious passion of Wendy Gane MBE who has been instrumental in ensuring everyone in our community young and old living with diabetes receives the best health support to live well. Wendy has campaigned not just within her own community but UK wide, working strategically and writing policies for government - Well Done!

Wendy paid tribute to her group many who are dedicated volunteers (past and present) who have/are committed to not only raising awareness, fundraising for the group but also in supporting others and each other. New Horizons is proud to have worked in partnership with Cwmbach Diabetes group and long may it continue. Congratulations All!!
