Following on from my last case study…

This is the amazing feedback from my client who had extensive skin grafts after necrotising fasciitis.

After just one session, she was able to lie her leg flat for the first time in months and finally enjoy a comfortable night’s sleep. 🌙

Scar Therapy in Action 👋

This patient came to me with a large graft scar following necrotising fasciitis and a long inpatient stay. Initially, she was unable to straighten her leg as the scar was restricting her movement.

After just one session, she was able to fully straighten her leg and enjoyed her first full night’s sleep in a long time. The scar became noticeably softer, and she experienced instant pain relief.

It’s so rewarding to see such progress and to support this client on her rehabilitation journey 💜

Celebrating Occupational Therapy Week! ✨

I qualified as an Occupational Therapist in 2002 and have been fortunate to work in Dublin, New Zealand, and the UK. Over the years, I’ve gained experience across many areas, including neurology, orthopaedics, hand therapy, and burns & plastics, all of which led to my special interest in scar management.

I’m proud to still work within the NHS while also running a busy scar therapy clinic, helping people recover and feel more comfortable in their own skin after surgery or injury.

Here’s to all my fellow OTs making a difference every day! 💚
