For nearly six years now we have immersed ourselves in chaga 🤎 our reverence runs deep and this is one of the practices we adhere to, striving to do our part to keep wild Scottish chaga foraging sustainable

It makes sense to us that whilst the magical birch sleeps, she draws everything inwards - deep into the darkness of her womb where the chaga flows

He stores her vitality and the best of her medicinal value through the deep dark winter ♾️ and he gives to her when her water starts to flow again and her buds herald the arrival of spring

This is their relationship as we see it -

So we learned early on to only forage in that small window and it resonated with us ✨ and that’s what we will continue to practice

How’s the shift in seasons treating you??
Our house has been full of seasonal sniffles this past week 🤧

Foggy heads, blocked sinuses, low energy, the odd temperature spike with the bairns - pie bodies clearly telling us that we are moving through something internally, just as our external world and nature is also 🌿🌿🌿

We aren’t as a family into suppressing anything that the body is trying to express - but there are things we do to support ourselves through…… so there’s been a lot of chaga, tea, baths and steamies!! 🌫️
