Playing bingo is a highly effective, low-pressure activity that actively combats loneliness and wards off cognitive decline.

Such a meaningful and spiritual morning with King's Church Aberdeen We started with a wonderful Bible study centered around the beautiful theme, "The Happiness Secret," and ended the morning with Holy Communion. We are feeling so blessed 🙏

Church and religious services are vitally important they provide essential spiritual support, a profound sense of normalcy, and vital community connections.

Who is supervising whom here?! We caught Gordon, being put to work... or perhaps it was the other way around? 🤔 Caught sharing a cuppa and putting the world to rights after tending to the veggies. ☕️🍅 Great to see them enjoying the fresh air and each other's company! 💚"

Dementia action week

Research suggests that 45% of dementia cases worldwide could be prevented or delayed if we could eliminate 14 modifiable risk factors.
We cannot change our age or genes, which do play a part in our likelihood of developing dementia. But importantly, our health, environment and lifestyles play a part too. This means there are things we can do to look after our brain health and reduce our risk of getting dementia. This includes Staying physically active, eating a healthy balanced diet, regularly challenging our brains and staying socially active. Interestingly, only a third of people think it’s possible to reduce their risk of developing dementia.

Dementia affects us all, and the Alzheimer's Society leads the fight to ensure no one faces it alone. The delicate forget-me-not flower symbolizes lasting bonds, love, and remembrance. We created this shared photo frame to stand together—residents, staff, and loved ones—because while memories may fade, our connections and community never will.

This photo frame is a beautiful, visual representation of our shared journey. Here is the story behind it:

Symbol of Unity: The forget-me-nots woven into the frame reflect collective strength and our promise to leave no one behind.

Standing Together: It unites residents, hardworking staff, and families as one team, proving that we are all in this together.

Celebrating Love: Every photo placed inside tells a story. It is a daily reminder of the lives, memories, and enduring bonds that dementia cannot erase.
