โข Caused by influenza viruses
โข Symptoms usually appear 1โ4 days after exposure
โข Sudden onset of fever, body aches, chills, fatigue, sore throat, and cough
โข Most people recover in about a week, but it can be serious for vulnerable groups
๐๐ข๐ฉ๐๐
โข Caused by the SARS-CoV-2 virus
โข Symptoms typically develop 2โ14 days after exposure
โข Can include fever, cough, shortness of breath, loss of taste or smell, fatigue, and muscle aches
โข Illness can range from mild to severe and may have longer-lasting effects (โlong COVIDโ)
โ
๐๐ฒ๐ ๐ฃ๐ผ๐ถ๐ป๐: While symptoms overlap, COVID often includes changes to taste and smell and can have a longer incubation period. Testing is the only way to confirm which virus is present.
๐ Vaccination remains one of the best defences against both flu and COVID, protecting not only individuals but the wider workplace too.
At OccuHealth Consultancy, we offer onsite flu vaccination clinics and workplace health support to help keep your team safe and well this winter.
