What a brilliant afternoon of connection, laughter & fun! Today included badminton, frisbee, football, Skipping, snacks and our recovery word association catch game - with plenty of laughter along the way 😁

It was great to see everyone relaxed, joining in, supporting each other and enjoying positive connection in recovery 💛

Next week: Johnston Gardens or Gordon highlanders museum- depending on weather ☀️ 🌧

This morning at AiRs My Recovery and Me Meeting, we had a very open and honest check in from all participants before discussing SMART goals. Everyone left with a personal SMART goal that was specific and achievable for there own personal/individual recovery journey 👌
This afternoon was week 1 of activities, and was all about fun, connection and laughter at Union Terrace Gardens 🏸⚽️🥏🥎
Our recovery word association game was very powerful 👏 🥎
Everyone left with smiles 😃

The AiR community has been busy planning the new activities calendar 🎉!
This Wednesday we are heading to Union Terrace Gardens for some games ⚽️🎲🏸, and connection (if the weather turns out to be wet and windy, we will visit the Art Centre instead 🎨 )
Meet at AiR premises:12.30 pm
Leaving at 1pm ⏲️

This morning at AiR: My Recovery & Me meeting - where we checked in then had a fruitful discussion about community- where we can find trusted communities and the benefits 👌
An exciting afternoon: Activities for the next 10 weeks have been planned out. Lots of energy & enthusiasm in the room.

Recovery Connects is always a special day — bringing people together to celebrate recovery, build connections, enjoy great music, and show the strength of Recovery Communities across Scotland

This event means a lot to so many people, and it’s really important that you continue to show up and support it. Every person who attends helps demonstrate just how much days like this matter and helps us build a strong future for events like Recovery Connects year after year.
