John Fred Elliott ( Jack ) aged 91 years, Soyburn Gardens Portsoy, beloved husband of Moya nee Tattershaw dearly loved father of John, David and Kate and a much loved grandfather. A private cremation is taking place on Friday April 10 followed by a celebration of his life to be held at The Salmon Bothy, Links Road Portsoy at 2pm. All friends are respectfully invited, no flowers please but donations in lieu if desired at Bothy door to the R.N.L.I. and the Salmon Bothy.

Special thankyou to Portsoy Community Nurses and GP Ward Chalmers Hospital for their dedicated and loving care of George, Murray Campbell for his personal service and kind words, Lotus Petals for the beautiful flowers, Cullen Bay Hotel for the lovely teas, David Urquhart for attending to all the funeral arrangements and to all who paid their respects at the Crematorium and for the generous donations to GP Ward and Portsoy Community Nurses.

Peacefully at Chalmers Hospital Banff after a sair fecht on Tuesday 24th February 2026, George (Tusky) aged 88 years (retired Chief Engineer merchant navy) sadly passed away, beloved son of the late Barbara and James, dearly beloved brother and brother-in-law, very dear uncle and great uncle and friend to many. Funeral service to be held at Moray Crematorium on Friday March 6 at 12.30pm. All friends are respectfully invited. Lil and family wish to thank all relatives, friends and neighbours for the kind expressions of sympathy extended to them by cards, letters, flowers and visits in their recent sad loss of Jim. Special thankyou to Louis for his comforting service, to those who cared for and supported Jim during his illness and to Donna and Boda Flowers for the floral tributes. Thank you to all who contributed to carrying out Jim’s own personal wishes for his funeral service and interment, Silverspoon for the lovely teas provided and to all who travelled from far and near to pay their respects at the Church and graveside and for the generous donations amounting to £1400 to Macmillan Cancer Support.

Moraig, David, Dianne and families wish to thank everyone for the sympathy extended to them by way of flowers, cards and messages following the sad loss of George, their husband, father and grandfather. Thanks also to Rev John Gow for his comforting words at the church and service at the graveside. Also to David Urquhart, funeral director for the perfect funeral arrangements and to Annies Catering for the welcome hot teas, coffees and delicious food. Finally, we extend our sincere thanks to all who braved the weather to attend the services and who donated so generously to the sum of £1500 in aid of Friends of Anchor, not forgetting those who sent apologies but still contributed.

My beautiful wife Jan Alexandra Grant devoted wife to Kevin and much loved mother of Skye.

Jan brought light into any room she walked into and will forever be in our hearts.

Jan, aged 47 years passed peacefully with her family by her side at Aberdeen Royal Infirmary on Monday January 12th 2026, nee Mackie much loved daughter of Violet Mackie and the late Alexander Mackie and brother of Duncan Mackie.

A celebration of her life is to be held at Banffshire East Church of Scotland, Macduff ( Doune Kirk ) on Friday January 23rd, at 11am, thereafter to Myrus cemetery. All friends are respectfully invited, please wear colour for Jan. Family flowers only please but donations in lieu if desired at church door to be shared with Jan’s three charities, Clan, Macduff Heritage and Macduff Library.
