If you’re neurodivergent — or supporting someone who is — I highly recommend following ****.

Rich (Autistic) and Rox (ADHD) are a brilliant couple who share their inner thoughts, relationship dynamics, and day-to-day experiences with honesty, humour, and heart.

Their content helps many neurodivergent people feel *less alone*, more understood, and more supported.
Expect:
💛 relatable moments
💛 gentle insights
💛 practical tips
💛 a reminder that your brain isn’t “wrong” — just different

A wonderful follow for anyone wanting understanding, connection, and validation on their neurodivergent journey.

🌿✨ Hello 2026 ✨🌿

A brand new year brings a brand new chapter — and with it, new hopes, wishes, and opportunities.

Whether you’re stepping into 2026 feeling hopeful, uncertain, exhausted, or quietly optimistic… your feelings are valid.
New beginnings don’t have to be loud or perfect. Sometimes the most powerful change starts with a single small step.

This year, may you find:
💚 moments of calm
💚 connections that feel safe
💚 courage to grow gently
💚 the strength to choose yourself

Aberdeen Bespoke Counselling will continue to walk alongside you — supporting your healing, your resilience, and your journey into whatever this new chapter holds.

Here’s to softness, strength, and new beginnings.
Happy New Year. 🌟

✨ New Year’s Eve Reflection – Looking to 2026 ✨

As we say goodbye to 2025, I’m taking a quiet moment to reflect on the year that’s been — the lessons learned, the challenges faced, and the growth that’s unfolded both for myself and for the clients I’ve had the privilege to work with.

2025 has been a year of courage, honesty, healing, and connection in the therapy room. I’m grateful for every client who trusted me to walk alongside them.

Looking ahead to 2026, my intentions are simple but meaningful:

🌿 To continue offering a safe, compassionate counselling space
🌿 To stay committed to learning, growing, and expanding my skills
🌿 To show up with strength, empathy, and presence
🌿 To be the support my clients need — steady, understanding, and human

Thank you for being part of Aberdeen Bespoke Counselling this year.

Wishing you a peaceful New Year’s Eve, whatever it looks like for you. May 2026 bring healing, hope, and gentleness. ✨

✨ End-of-Year Reflection + Book Recommendation ✨

As we come to the end of the year, it feels like the right time to pause and gently reflect on the months behind us.

This year has brought its own highs — moments of growth, clarity, connection, and breakthroughs…
and it has brought its lows — challenges, some work life balance struggles, life changes, and the unexpected!

Both are part of being human, and both deserve space, kindness, and acknowledgement.

One of the books that has resonated deeply with me this year is Mel Robbins’ Let Them — a powerful reminder that we can’t control others, only how we respond. A beautiful message on acceptance, boundaries, and choosing peace.

Other thoughtful reads from this year include:
📘 The Body Keeps the Score – Bessel van der Kolk
📘 Running on Empty – Jonice Webb
📘 Set Boundaries, Find Peace – Nedra Tawwab

I’d love to know — what helped you through this year?
A book? A quote? A moment of clarity? A mindset shift?

Here’s to gentle reflection and giving ourselves credit for everything we’ve carried, survived, and achieved. 🌿

❄️ Boxing Day Post

Boxing Day — a quiet pause after the rush.
Today is for slowing down, breathing out, and letting yourself just be.

Rest isn’t lazy — it’s recovery.
Give yourself permission to recharge, reflect, and move gently through the day.

✨🎄 A Festive Hello from ABC 🎄✨

I’ve been a little quieter on here this year — and that’s been intentional.

My focus has been on my clients, their therapy journeys, and continuing to learn, reflect, and grow as a counsellor. Sometimes that means stepping back from posting and showing up more fully where it really counts.

As the festive period arrives, I just wanted to pop on to wish you a gentle Christmas — however you spend it.
Whether this time of year feels joyful, complicated, overwhelming, quiet, or bittersweet… your experience is valid.

Thank you for being here and for supporting Aberdeen Bespoke Counselling.
Here’s to rest, reflection, and moving into the new year with kindness towards ourselves. 🌿

💫 Navigating a Challenging Family During the Holidays

For many, the festive season brings family stress rather than peace.
Old patterns, unspoken tensions, and expectations can resurface quickly.

Here are a few things that can help:
🌱 Remember you’re allowed to have boundaries — even with family.
🌱 You can limit time or topics that feel unsafe.
🌱 Plan small “escape breaks” — a short walk, time outside, a mindful breath.
🌱 If conflict arises, focus on calming your body rather than fixing others.
🌱 Remind yourself: you don’t have to play old roles to survive the day.

Sometimes the most loving thing you can do is protect your own energy.
You’re allowed to choose peace over performance this year.

🎄 Tips for Managing the Festive Season

The festive season can be joyful — but also overwhelming, lonely, or exhausting.
Here are a few gentle reminders to help you through:

✨ You don’t have to attend every event — rest counts too.
✨ Keep some routines that help you feel grounded (meals, sleep, quiet time).
✨ Notice what you need — not just what others expect.
✨ Have a “soothe kit” ready: a walk, music, a comfort film, breathing space.
✨ If grief, loss, or loneliness arise — allow it. You’re not alone in that feeling.

This time of year can stir up old emotions and expectations. Go slowly, take care, and let “good enough” be enough.
