Would you know how to help someone during a tonic-clonic seizure? Remember TASIR and follow these steps.

Once a seizure starts, it will usually stop on its own. If a seizure lasts for 5 minutes or longer, call an ambulance.

Only move a person if they are in danger eg. on a busy road or at the top of the stairs.

Make it your business to learn about seizures, how to keep someone safe, and potentially save someone's life.

Our Home Care Teams are out, just as they are every night, looking after the most vulnerable people in our communities. Tonight they really are risking their own safety to keep others safe and well but, we can only provide absolutely essential care. So, if you know there is a vulnerable person close by in your community, please consider dropping in, or giving them a call, to make sure they have got everything they need.
Sometimes, just knowing there is someone to call on or to have a quick chat with, is enough to make people feel less anxious and more secure.
Stay safe out there folks and please look after each other.
