Another landmark gone 🥹
A Glasgow landmark that had stood for generations is now gone.
Union Corner wasn’t just another city centre block. It was part of the look, character and history of Union Street. A building people passed every day without ever imagining it might not always be there.
It stood through wars, survived wave after wave of change, and outlasted more than a century and a half of Glasgow reinventing itself.
Now there’s a gap in the streetscape, and a part of old Glasgow has vanished with it.
A brutal loss for the city 💔
