💙 The month of May is Ehlers-Danlos Syndrome & Hypermobility Spectrum Disorder Awareness Month 💙
So… what actually are EDS and HSD?
They’re connective tissue conditions that affect collagen—the structure that supports your joints, skin, and more. The most common type is hypermobile EDS (hEDS), while HSD describes people with similar symptoms but who don’t meet the full diagnostic criteria.
But here’s the thing—it’s not just about being “bendy” or double-jointed.
For many people, it can mean:
✨ Persistent joint pain
✨ Frequent sprains or dislocations
✨ Fatigue that doesn’t go away with rest
✨ Dizziness and other whole-body symptoms
Because symptoms show up in so many different ways, they’re often treated in isolation… and the bigger picture gets missed.
🧩 Awareness helps connect the dots
Follow along this month as we break it down, share real experiences, and explore how physiotherapy can help you feel stronger, more stable, and more confident in your body.
