My purpose is to unlock deep healing, deeper self awareness and energetic balance through teaching Mindfulness and Compassion, Spiritually Intuitive Reiki, and realignment of the skeletal structure with The Dorn Method. Practising Mindfulness with compassion daily helps us find that peace through regulating the nervous system, lowering blood pressure, heart rate, build inner resources of resilience and confidence and find inner stillness. Regular daily Mindfulness practice has been proven to reduce stress, anxiety, depression, chronic pain, PTSD, Obsessive Compulsive Disorders, improve sleep patterns and many other conditions that affect our ability to manage our day to day lives. This is an 8 week Accredited Mindfulness Based Living Course by the Mindfulness Association in the UK and delivered by Mia Middleton. It helps you understand the reasons why we do the things we do, how to address them, how to maintain your learning and progress. It furnishes you with a library of tools and techniques to assist you in your Mindfulness journey and also offers you an on-going life-long community of support to help you maintain progress.

🔥 Stuck. Angry. Afraid and Still Beautiful. 🔥

Ever felt stuck in a job that no longer fits, a relationship where words don’t land, or a creative project that just won’t flow?

That stuckness, tight in the chest, heavy in the limbs, often masks deeper currents: unmet needs, unspoken fears, and the quiet ache of avoidance. When we don’t name it, it can shapeshift into reactive anger. We lash out, shut down, or spiral into “I should’ve... I must... I have to...”

All of which only deepens the freeze.

But what if the way through isn’t force, but movement?

Movement: gentle, expressive, meditative, can unstick what language cannot.

Whether it’s painting (like this dragon I poured in reds, oranges, and yellows), walking, dancing, gardening, climbing, or cleaning... movement bypasses the mind’s defences and speaks directly to the body’s truth.

It’s not about solving the problem. It’s about shifting the energy.

Before we push for change, we need to pause and name what’s here.
“I feel stuck.”
“I feel afraid.”
“I feel angry.”

Naming is the first movement. Then, we move with it, not against it.

So next time you feel blocked, try this:

• Stop.
• Name the feeling.
• Move in any way that feels safe and true.
• Let the body lead you back to breath, rhythm, and possibility.

You might just find that the dragon you feared was your own fire waiting to be reclaimed.

Be honest do you need encouragement to do your best work?

At first, many people say no. “I’m a professional. I’ll get the job done.”

But here’s the twist: when asked whether encouragement actually helps performance, EVERY single person said yes!

📊 Some powerful stats:
• 79% of people say lack of appreciation is why they leave jobs.
• Only 7% think their workplace is excellent at recognition.
• Just 12% receive regular appreciation.

It makes me wonder…
➡️ How many entrepreneurs or solopreneurs give up because no one acknowledges their effort?
➡️ How often do we scroll, consume, and benefit from other people’s work online—without ever saying “thank you” or showing support?

Encouragement costs nothing, but it can change everything. Let’s start giving more of it. 💙

Have you ever tried to meditate and thought, “If I just sit still and breathe, maybe all my fears will go away”?

Or maybe you’ve told yourself, “If I feel my feelings and acknowledge them, I’ll finally be free.”

It’s a common trap.

We think mindfulness is about fixing ourselves. But often, that belief is the very thing that blocks healing. We resist change by trying to force it.

We hold onto habits, attitudes, and expectations, even the expectation that we should be different. But mindfulness isn’t about becoming someone else.

It’s about meeting ourselves where we are, right here, right now, with compassion. Noticing the resistance and gently letting go of the need to change.

Sometimes, the most powerful shift is simply allowing what’s already here.
You’re not broken. You’re human. And that’s enough.

My Story

Do you often feel aches and pains in the same area of your body and overwhelmed with stress? Don't worry, you are not alone. These problems often stem from common causes and we can work together to find out what they are and free you from them.

My name is Mia and I Believe in the Possibilities of the Alternative.

I am the owner of Natural Re-aligning and Healing Therapies which started up as a part-time business on 1st August 2014 while working at Aberdeen Royal Infirmary as a Care Manager. I have worked in a variety of health and care settings for 20 years, initially qualifying as a Social Worker with BA(Hons) in Social Sciences with Diploma in Social Work, COSCA Certificate in Counselling skills and INSYT Foundation Certificate in Systemic Family Therapy. I then developed an interest in complementary therapies, which I found complimented the work I was doing with young people and adults suffering from not only the physical aspects of pain but also the emotional and psychological effects of trauma, abuse and loss.

I am now qualified in a range of therapies that correct misalignments in the joints and the spine, rebalance the energy pathways and reset cellular memory thereby addressing conditions in the body caused by back and joint pain in addition to addressing the effects of chronic pain, loss, trauma and abuse.
