Baby and Me

Baby and Me runs infant massage and baby yoga classes for one on one time with your baby in a baby led environment.

Every class focuses on you and your baby equally making Baby and Me the ideal class for you and your little one.

Week 6 at Baby and Me was the last week of the current term for the Mobile Baby Yoga and Baby Yoga families, but also the first day of the new block for an Introduction to Baby Yoga and Baby Massage families! It was so lovely to meet lots of new families and their BEAUTIFUL babies!!!!! I was however very sad to say goodbye to some families who have been with me for almost 2 years through multiple births. There is no bigger compliment than families returning to Baby and Me with their newest additions to their families 💜💜

We are now on a two week break and will return to class for term 2 on Tuesday 28th October. Spaces are LIMITED across all classes so get in touch to book your space.

Baby Massage and an Introduction to Baby Yoga can be booked separately as 5 week courses or as a combined 10 week block. Mobile Baby Yoga and Baby Yoga run as a term, however these can be joined or completed at any time within the block, the block is charged at £7 a class and if you start or end within this time classes are charged at £8 per class.

There is a 10% discount if you and a friend sign up for the same course, just quote each other's names on your booking form.

What is Baby Yoga?

The Baby and Me Birthlight Baby Yoga course is split into multiple levels. The first is for babies continuing on from Baby Massage or 8 weeks plus, this is the Introduction to Baby Yoga class and is a very slow and gentle start to your yoga journey.

All classes deepen the bond between adult and baby, giving both confidence in how to be together physically and how to connect emotionally. Baby yoga helps to develop and stimulate your baby's brain, the circulation of their blood, aids natural deep sleep, helps combat the discomfort of gas, colic and reflux and brings deep joy and fun to your baby's life. There are lots of benefits for adults too! We practice gentle exercise at the appropriate level for your postpartum body regaining strength and awareness of your core and pelvic floor muscles. There is a connection to your breath and how to practice relaxation techniques with or around your baby.

Each class is a progression on the week before and no two classes will ever be exactly the same. We have lots of songs and rhymes which allows you the opportunity to try out these moves at home outside class. There are also special themed weeks for things like Burns day, Valentines, Easter and holidays!

What is Baby Massage?

Baby massage is a long standing parenting tradition in many cultures, such as Indian and African, and has been practised in the UK since the late 1990s. The IAIM Baby Massage course draws from both the Indian and Swedish massage traditions as well as incorporating principles from yoga and reflexology.
Massaging your baby provides a wonderful opportunity to express your love whilst meeting the need of touch and affection that is so essential for the healthy development of babies. Baby massage supports your baby's brain development, their speech and language skills, aids their coordination and body awareness, aids circulation, promotes natural sleep, soothes gas, colic, constipation, teething and growing discomfort and is a wonderful way to deepen the bond you have with your baby.
Over the 5 week course we will slowly build up to a full body massage for your little one. We will also learn a gentle movement routine and a massage specifically to help with gas and colic.
Each week we will discuss different parenting topics from sleep, to crying, to finding some 'you' time. Our classes are a safe environment for you to share your parenting experiences and gain help and advice from other new parents.

Come along to the Baby and Me, Baby Massage class starting on Tuesday 7th October.

Suitable for babies and their adults from birth to 12 months old. It is never too early or too late to learn and see the benefits of baby massage.

Class includes all resources you will need, refreshments, baby massage oil, parent handout, graduation certificate and a supportive out of class WhatsApp group. Baby and Me classes are not over stimulating but instead offers a calm and restorative atmosphere to hold both you and your baby.

Baby and Me offers 90 minutes of one on one time with your baby, with no judgements or expectations.

An Introduction to Baby Yoga

This class is suitable for little ones and their adults from 8 weeks old. We take a very gentle and slow introduction into the world of Baby Yoga, it's poses and movements, whilst also connecting back to our own bodies as adults. There is scheduled conversation time and this really allows the adults a safe space to share their experiences and make true, deep friendships.

Classes start on Tuesday 7th October and booking is now LIMITED!

Week 3 at Baby and Me (except this one is a week late).

There was a lot of new learning this week! Mobile Babies experienced their first handstands and 'looping the loop'! Huge movements that take time to build up to and confidence to experience. Baby Yoga babies were working on the swings which was amazing to see. Most of the babies really enjoyed this and seeing their parents being fully engaged in the joy was FABULOUS!

In Baby Massage we progressed to adding in our chest and arms to our massage routine and learnt a sequence to aid the discomfort from gas and colic. The Introduction to Baby Yoga class experimented with the vestibular system with positions for independent standing, fully circles and backbend peekaboos!

I am so proud of all my families for being so open to new positions, poses, songs and rhymes. You are all fabulous!!!!
