🎶 The Bridge Community Choir took the stage on Sunday for VSA's incredible Sing, Sing, Sing competition.

What a night it was! 💫

Made possible through the support of the Health Improvement Fund, our choir was created to help reduce social isolation, boost community participation, and build confidence and wellbeing. And, if these clips are anything to go by, we’d say mission well and truly accomplished 🥰

We’re so proud of every single one of our members, and beyond thankful to have the amazing Lisa-marie Ferguson guiding the way as our inspiring choir leader. 💜

🎉 Huge congratulations to Aurora Choir for their well-deserved win, and a massive well done to all the choirs who took part. The energy, talent, and community spirit made it a truly unforgettable night!

🎉 Exciting News from Team Absafe! 🎉

We’re delighted to share that Absafe has been awarded funding from the Volunteer Support Fund! 🙌

This amazing support will help us upskill volunteers and run a programme of community pop-up events over the next two years – all focused on connection, creativity, and inspiring lives.

💛 Our pilot events and workshops, including the spooktacular Halloween Fundraiser🎃, were made possible by the Health Improvement Fund – and this new funding allows us to keep growing!

🎄 First up is our Christmas Fayre on Saturday 13th December, 11am–2pm — and here’s the brilliant news for stallholders:

We’re now able to cover most of the event costs, so the suggested donation for stalls has been removed and we are operating on a pay-what-you-can basis 🥰. We’re passing the support we’ve received directly onto you. 🫶

🎄✨ Absafe Christmas Fayre – You're Invited! ✨🎄

We’re spreading festive cheer this December with our first ever Christmas Fayre, and we’d love for you to be part of it!

📍 Where: Absafe, Balgownie Lodge, Campus 3, AB22 8GW.
📅 When: Saturday 13th December
🕚 Time: 11:00am – 2:00pm

Expect stalls, handmade gifts, festive fun, and a warm welcome, all in support of Absafe’s life-saving work. 💛

🎃👻 That’s a (spooky) wrap on Halloween 2025! 🕸️🕷️

On the 31st, Absafe was transformed into a haunted haven for our Halloween fright night, and thanks to your incredible support, we raised over £600! 🧡💀

A massive THANK YOU to everyone who:
🧛‍♂️ Donned a costume and came along to support our wee charity
🧙‍♀️ Took on a scary role as one of our brilliant "scare" actors
🎟️ Helped on the door, ran games, sold raffle tickets, and welcomed our guests with spooky smiles
🎤 Performed and gave their time freely to make the atmosphere truly unforgettable
🧼 Helped transform our space into a haunted hideaway – from cobwebs to cauldrons!

Huge gratitude also goes to our amazing community supporters:

🎃 Wynford Farm – for the fabulous Halloween décor

🔐💻 Cyber Safe & Confident! 💡🌐

Team Absafe had the pleasure of visiting The Seed Box Ltd, delivering a bespoke cyber safety session for them,

Together, we explored:
✅ Password best practices
✅ Oversharing and how to avoid it
✅ Scams and how to spot them
✅ Privacy settings and staying in control
✅ Online behaviour and respect (if you wouldn’t say it on the street, don’t say it online!)
✅ Understanding protected characteristics and staying kind online

🧠💬 The group were fantastic – asking questions, sharing experiences, and engaging in discussion about staying safe and smart online.

We were especially proud to hear afterwards that the training “was pitched just right, sparked relevant discussion, and helped build real confidence around online safety.”

👏 Huge thanks to the team at The Seed Box for having us,
creating safe, informed spaces for all is at the heart of what we do.

Last week we were joined by Louise and Kairn from , who gave us a really helpful session all about cyber safety — learning how to stay safe online and protect ourselves from scams. 🧠💡

We all learned a lot and feel much more confident about keeping safe on the internet. 🌐
