❄️ Stay safe outdoors in winter ❄️

🔹 Wrap up well - It's the season for cosy layers! Wear gloves and a hat as well as layers to protect yourself from the cold.

🔹 Take it slow and steady – Be aware that some pavements and roads may be icy.

🔹 Watch your step - Wear shoes with good grip to navigate slippery paths and avoid falls.

🔹 Stay off ice on frozen waterways – Its thickness can be deceptive, and the water can be extremely cold and deep. Make sure children are aware of the potential dangers.

Members of the Children's Occupational Therapy team from the Royal Aberdeen Children's Hospital, will be hosting a session at Bridge of Don Clinic on Thursday 5th March.

Staff will be there to give ideas and strategies for developing independence and motor skills through play, bring strategies for supporting children with practical skills in preparation for transitioning into Primary 1 or S1 after the summer and be on hand to answer any questions and give general tips and tricks. This is a drop in session, with no need to book and although children would be more than welcome to come along, this session is aimed at parents and adults working with children.
